For people complaining the game cost 30$
No one is forcing you to buy it. Sims 4 cost 60$ so do other games, also if you don't like the game don't buy it simple as that.

"But the game is buggy and it sucks!"
Then don't play it then and every game has bugs.

"This game doesn't deserve the fame!"
Well too bad the game looks interesting to kids and adults on youtube.

"30$? That cost too much!"
Well deal with it. Minecraft cost the game thing. Sims 4 cost 60$ when it came out.

"This game is easy to finish less in 2 hours!"
It doesn't matter as long you have fun.

"The AI is terrible"
Yeah in your opinion. It's actually good in my opinion is that now the neighbor can go climb on ladders and chase you almost everywhere!

"This game will not succeed"
You can tell that to the popularity it has gained since October 2016

Debunking time.

Just because you don't have to buy it, doesn't mean you can't review it. It's called feedback.
Some things are just too expensive for what they are and developers need to know that.
Don't compare sims 4 to this, since that one has so much to offer and developers are reliable people, unlike with this indie example.

True, every game has bugs, but not every game is as broken. Many games have people fixing the bugs and listening to the communities, improving their games and having them done well when they reach beta. The Hello Neighbor team is the exact opposite. Their game is just not playable at this point, and they planned the actual release soon.

The fame this game has received is like any other indie game/story focused production.
Many youtubers played it because it looked interesting, just like any other games they played. Most of the so called fame was received by... constant complains about the state of it and for easy money by clickbaiting the hell out of their young audiences. The game isn't famous because they liked it.

Again, you are comparing games made by reasonable people who focus really hard on the game and actually improve it. Minecraft was at one point an indie, but even microsoft bought it after seeing the rise. It's still updated to this day. Both of the games have A LOT to offer and actual gameplay that's worth playing, the customers know what they are spending money on. There are a lot of reason why sims 4 costED $60 and the biggest it the game itself. The marketing and anticipation did their job as well, having dedicated fans waiting for it. While Hello Neighbor was $30 from the start and nobody knew what it was, so they are fair to judge the price. Even in it's alpha stage the game was worth max $5, just like every other GREAT indie game. Some are worth 10 or 20 but they have a lot work put into them. The beta of Hello Neighbor is exactly like a broken free game made by someone under 7 days, and people pulled off amazing projects during a week before.

Of course it matters. The price you pay for the game is 50% for the fun and 50% of the playtime.
You can't have one over the other, not to mention most of the customers didn't have any fun while playing. $30 for 2 hours just isn't worth it, because it takes that long to watch a movie, which costs much less online.

No, the AI is actually god-awful. Not in anyone's opinion, it just doesn't fulfill the norms of an acceptable AI. So what if the neighbor can chase you up a ladder? That's one thing, probably really easy to code, just a plain interaction. The chasing and sneaking mechanics are completely broken and that is a fact.

The game is popular but it's going downhill. It won't suceed because the developers may need to pay all the money back to the customers and receive a lot of bad fame.

So that is my take on your ridiculous statements, which heavily imply that you are either a really young child or a die hard fanboy. Or both. Your poor spelling proves that. It also makes me wonder if you are the developer just trying to protect his game from all the hate.

I second that.

Also the "just don't buy it" argument is heavily flawed, for one, how are you supposed to know it's bad if you don't buy it?
Second, We're intitled to our opinion and well within our rights to criticise a once amazing game.
Also minecraft doesn't cost anywhere near 30 quid.
It costs 22 dollars or 17 pounds.

And we don't hate the game, but 30 quid is not worth something that has a lack of content, Way too many glitches, even JackSepticEye said that they boast about the great AI, even though it's not that good, and you can get him stuck almost anywhere.
There is a lack of passion put into this game, it had so much potential and it's going to be hard for the devs to turn it around, but as a critic towards this game, I want them to prove us wrong and make the game Great again.
That is all.

One more thing, I hope the devs are paying attention to criticsm, because seriously, if they don't, I'm saying it now, this game Will become irrelevant.

I mean Sims has more than one concept and much more content. As does minecraft which justifies the price.

The BETA is worse than the Alpha, and in terms of features, the game is becoming worse and more mundane, and almost rehashed.

As a fan of the game that has put many hours into each alpha and beta, the game is very overpriced and the AI is really broken. I love this game but it has many problems and nobody can excuse it. I care for this game but it's getting god awful.

If developers listened to posts like this, they'd sell to nobody. Everyone would just watch a YouTuber play a buggy mess instead of putting themselves through it.
