No seriously get off dude your attitude isnt welcomed anywhere.
thank you. Maybe it was a thread asking for it that i remember, could be a possibility. But i have in mind that a dev replied with it being a thing they look into. Hm, maybe not at launch. Could be funny in coop.
I locked it into my head to be a thing, and i wouldnt do that if i havent seen anything related to that. Otherwise i had saved it under singleplayer-only.

Also they had this:
https://twitter.com/tinyBuild/status/846780270745313282
It was a high possibility, hopefully still is for a later addon, which i would really like.
But those were only hints and possibilities and never straight goals they wanted to include for sure.
Oh and for the kickstarter so you dont have to search the whole page, you could find at least a stretchgoal including "one player defends basement, the other tries to get in"-multiplayer.
Personally I think alot of kids these days were coddled so much that they can't stand to do anything without someone close by. Someone has to be there to make sure they're alright at all times.
The whole point of the game is to freak you out by YOU and only YOU sneaking into some sadistic mans house and unveiling his secrets. Wouldn't be so scary with a party
You don't seam to understand, do you? They mean a player plays as the neighbour and the other tries to get into the basement. They didn't mean two players!
No one is right or wrong. This is nothing proven to be factual as it is up to what you like to play and how to play.
Having multiplayer AND singleplayer defines a better game though.
And thats an easy logic.
A game offering more options is better than a game with less options, as it pleases more people and is customizable to their specific taste.
I sometimes like to play singleplayer, but single is limited compared to multiplayer and i personally hit this limit fast.
Everyone knowing anything about vidoegames knows about that limit (in most games, there are ever exceptions where a limit isnt noticeable or so high that you wont hit it).
I can spend 14 hours to play the Stronghold Campaign, like i did recently, but after that, i get bored of its limitation and want a more communicative experience.
Thats when i start multiplayer, mostly to play cooperative. As multiplayer offers an alternative experience to singleplayer and often bot harent comparable.
Subnautica is a great game and a good example. Its fine as a singleplayer experience, but only interesting for so long.
A multiplayer could add a lot to the mix as such a mode changes and alternates the gameplay and its experience.
In other words, driving with a submarine through the dark depths with big creatures outside can be a good experience alone, but managing it with another player together can be hell of a lot fun. But its a different way to experience the game and obviously not everyone will like this experience, but i dont see that as a problem.
The problem are people trying to make it a problem.
Another example could be made with The Forest, which plays more horror-like in singleplayer, and more survivally and creative in multiplayer.
Both modes make one game totally different to play. And thats a nice thing.
And i would like to have both modes, as simple as that.
This here is no survey to ask about your tastes. No question about what you like or not.
One will prefer singleplayer experiences because that player has a more uncommunicative way to play videogames, maybe because its more of a way to come down after work for that person. Which is totally fine, i have these phases too.
For others its a great thing to do a session with many other people, friends, as a communicative experience, just like a boardgame evening. I want to have both worlds as that is how i play videogames.
Just because it happens that you are playing videogames differently, doesnt make it right, just egocentric.
Its also an interesting note, that people playing multiplayer games seem to be actually the nicer ones, more empathic and less egocentric.
When in multiplayer game forums threads are opened asking for singleplayer, i rarely see even one person saying that its not "needed" (which is a dumb word to use here anyway and proves you have no idea what you are talking about), as a vast majority supports this idea.
When you open a thread on a singleplayer game asking for multiplayer, you can bet for sure that the first person to get triggered will jump on it and start an attack or be offensive, trying to drag down.
Because people like fastica cant believe that there are people out there having a different taste than him/her.
And this isnt taken out of thin air, it can be seen in so many places. People asking for singleplayer in games like Friday13th were received nice, Overwatch the same, even freakin Dota.
But dare you get to a game like this and ask whether MP was a thing (which it totally was), you will have at least one guy instantly jumping in attacking this very idea.
This thread is already concluded, i kind of found the answer myself, as i seem to have been more informed than those trying to defend their own interests instead of giving an answer.
I thank those who tried to participate and give an answer and not tried to derail the thread into a direction it was not supposed, like Equinoxinator.
If the community singleplayer games was less toxic, they might get a better experience when interacting with people and maybe find out that it can be a nice thing to play cooperatively with others.
A moderator can close it if he/she wishes to, if others want to discuss multiplayer and whatever related to the game, feel free to use this thread for it from now on.
Im off for now. Have fun.
They confirmed, no multiplayer, though, they could be hiding the truth! Anyway, I think it would work best if the player playing as the neighbor had special abilities and if you know Assassin's Creed, a special ability like 'eagle vision' would be best for the neighbor player.
It didn't hit strech goal for multiplayer.
Good job on posting link that prove your words wrong, Nemesis.
