I have nothing to add, other than the game seems about as scary as Finding Nemo. Which, as we all know, is absolutely horrifying.
I don't trust ratings to much. I mean, I let him play Borderlands, and thats rated MA15+ here, but its cartoony as ♥♥♥♥, but I wont let him play, say, GTA (tho that is rated R18+ here) or the Mass Effect games, becuse there more muture in content.
The main thing for this game was the horrorish vibe I got from the trailer, as I was not sure if he could handle it or not. Demo seams fairly tame, but I am assuming, as you said, there is more to it. It is just a demo after all. And its not like the stuff in BL is not in any TV show anyway. Hell, Minecraft has suicides in it, thanks to the creepers.
My philosophy is that if they know things, and are then told WHY there not allowed to do them, then there learning stuff on the way. But only if the game is something I have played, witch means I can tell whether or not he would be able to handle it. Though, I would NEVER let him play an R18 game.
