Alpha 4 Basement door stuck

So i already used the key card and the crowbar on the basement door, and i finally finished the red key minigame but now when i try to head back to the basement the door wont open because the boards are in the way and i cant pick them up to move them. Also the Neighbor is stuck constantly trying to open and close the basement door.

I've had the same issue several times. This is a glitch and needs to be fixed. Ridiculous to have to restart the game several times.

Yeah, I have to go into the door straight at first and then kind of shimmy side-ways in order to get inside.

To be fair, it is still only alpha. There are games in beta testing out there that are in worse shape than this lol.

You can either download Alpha 1 or 2 via the site or buy it off helloneighbor.com . Steam keys are distributed to Streamers and Youtubers.

Yes ik, i bought it from humble bundle lol i was just explainning that the only reason i put this here is because Steam is the only forum for the game

I think you can move the boards somehow. I did on mine, but I don't remember how. Try shooting the boards with the gun maybe...

The problem is the neighbor is in an animation loop trying to close the door and so i cant get close to it to do anything, and also apparently the boards are suppose to be able to be picked up but for some reason i cant do it?

I had to use a Special Program that allowed me to go thru walls just so i could get into the basement. So personally im fine because ive finished the game but its still a glitch that should be fixed.

Side note has anyone figured out the button code behind the giant painting door?
