Linux support with Steam's Proton compatibility tool
In case you haven't heard, Valve recently introduced a new version of Steam Play which allows running Windows games on Linux with an improved Wine called Proton.

I gave it a try on Ubuntu 18.04 and I'm happy to report that the game runs flawlessly with a similar, if not improved, performance as Windows.

Instructions:
  • You need to opt-in to the beta version of Steam first: open your Steam settings, under Account and under Beta participation click on the Change button and select the Steam Beta Update.
  • Steam should restart and download the Beta client.
  • In the Beta client, open the settings and select Steam Play at the bottom left, and enable the options as follow:
  • Check 'Enable Steam Play for all titles'.
  • Check 'Use this tool instead of game-specific selections from Steam'.
  • Select 'Proton 3.7' or higher.
  • You should now be able to install and play the Windows version of the game on your Linux OS from your Steam library.
