If I coded it so you can hold the ESC key to move through the text automatically and quickly, would that solve the problem?
Or would you rather have a button just just instantly skip through the events that you've already played?
Anyway, thanks for putting this on your to-do list! I've finished the game but have been putting off finding different endings (including the best one!) and missed achievements in hopes that a skip would get added. That would've been a lot of time spent mashing the "enter" key, haha. Love the game! <3
Btw, thanks for sending me a copy through Curator Connect ^_^ I LOVE the game and will definitely be giving it a recommendation, I just want to wait until I have 100% completed it. Which will be much sooner if you introduce a skip function ;) ;)
I tried to do the 'instant skip to next bit', but like Gaymer Lady speculated, it might create new problems. The problem is, at whatever point you press skip, it needs to fade out the correct backgrounds/characters and then fade in the correct ones - which would mean the skip button would need to be coded separately for every scene within the game - Lots of room for human error!
No ETA on when the next update will be live yet - as we need to have it passed through QA first, just to make sure the new fixes don't create any new bugs. Will keep you all posted on this though!
Cheers,
Oliver
