Is there a skip function?
For either read dialogue or all dialogue?

Requesting this function! very necessary for going secrets hunting and getting all endings

Agreed.

Apologies everyone, oversight on my part! I'll add this to our wishlist for future fixes!

If I coded it so you can hold the ESC key to move through the text automatically and quickly, would that solve the problem?

Or would you rather have a button just just instantly skip through the events that you've already played?

Instant would be good!

Either works for me, but I've barely played any visual novels so I don't know how the feature is usually implemented.

Anyway, thanks for putting this on your to-do list! I've finished the game but have been putting off finding different endings (including the best one!) and missed achievements in hopes that a skip would get added. That would've been a lot of time spent mashing the "enter" key, haha. Love the game! <3

Instant skip would be amazing, but moving through automatically would also be fine! It really is a necessity in visual novels, especially ones like this where you need to reply multiple times to find everything.

Btw, thanks for sending me a copy through Curator Connect ^_^ I LOVE the game and will definitely be giving it a recommendation, I just want to wait until I have 100% completed it. Which will be much sooner if you introduce a skip function ;) ;)

I've seen a visual novel that did the instant skip and there was a TON of bugs and issues with it. So, it might be more work to do it that way, but just like hitting the ESC button or the Tab button to quickly move through the scenes is usually what I see. Thanks for responding : )

The mentions I've seen of the lack of a Skip button are the primary reason I haven't gotten this game yet, to be honest. Glad to hear that it's on the list for future fixes. As a big visual novel player, I prefer skip buttons that skip text I've already read, and I'd love it if it just sped through the text really fast rather than skipping straight to the next thing, although that's largely because I don't think I've ever played a game that used the latter option.

Hey everyone, you'll be pleased to know that I've coded it so that you can hold down ESC and fast forward through the text. This will be added in the next update for the game.

I tried to do the 'instant skip to next bit', but like Gaymer Lady speculated, it might create new problems. The problem is, at whatever point you press skip, it needs to fade out the correct backgrounds/characters and then fade in the correct ones - which would mean the skip button would need to be coded separately for every scene within the game - Lots of room for human error!

No ETA on when the next update will be live yet - as we need to have it passed through QA first, just to make sure the new fixes don't create any new bugs. Will keep you all posted on this though!

Cheers,
Oliver

Is there any update on this?
meru Feb 14, 2018 @ 7:58pm
I'd like to know too! I really want to be able to complete the game :3
Tsukichild Feb 14, 2018 @ 8:21pm
I rigged an auto text it with a macro function to finish off the guide, but I do suggest waiting until this implemented. A full 100% takes about 5 playthroughs.
