OK so have not played for quite some time and reinstalled the game tonight. Well got myself a bear and I went into what I have called Bear Lodge as only bears are mounted in this lodge.

Refreshed my memory of how to mount the bear on any mounting block or plaque but when I tried placing the bear it won't work like it did previously.

Was this fixed so to stop players from doing this or has the process changed or....?

This is the video I followed and was how I was doing this in the past to mount my bears in the silliest locations like a bear on a small duck or hare mounting block for instance. very silly but good fun none the less!

Might be a bit late, but I have seen people in Reddit threads complaining about them fixing this.

Well back at the time I managed doing it as I had a hound of bears even on small mounts HA HA but not played the game in ages so not sure if it is or isn't possible any more.

10-1 they fixed this rather then fixing something that's really broken as I remember on the Alaska map we could get out beyond the maps borders to areas they had their models stored in and such and rather then fix real bugs they put all their effort blo9cking us from accessing this area.
