Do caribou even spawn in crimson plains (Yukon Valley)?

I've been looking around for hours, just got attacked by a pack of wolves, used half my ammo fighting them off, all just for this mission to spot a caribou. All the tracks and feed zones I have seen so far have been moose, wolves and bison, I have thus far recieved no indication Caribou even spawn here.

Try the lakes north of Lumbershore and the shore line to the south of the outpost there. Also the lakes west of Murphy's landing outpost.

Basically around the Hansson river basin.

Oh, I think a misunderstanding has taken place. I am not having trouble finding caribou at all in yukon valley, just in the Crimson Plains region. The mission says exactly that I have to spot a plains bison (Which I have already done) and a caribou (Which I can't find) in crimson plains.

Ah I see. Sorry. My need zones wiped and I dont have much info on that area anymore.

Unfortunately, most of the Crimson Plains is certified caribou-free. But there is hope: there are possible need zones in the East of the region, and with a bit of luck you can even catch them drinking at the Northern and the Southeastern lake there.

I had a similar thing on Hirsch with red deer. I had to find a herd and push it into the right area.

I GOT EM! Unfortunately now I need to find harlequin duck droppings -_-
I aint even seen a harlequin duck up close.

You can find them by walking up and down the shores near their need zones. Maybe take the dog as they can help find skat.

The dog IS a good boy. Now if only they fixed that sound thing that makes it sound like the dog is the size of a moose trampling behind you.
