Hound Training
Hey guys, what are some ways to make the Hound DLC obey?

Telling him to stay does not last long at all. Hound keeps scaring animals I am hunting running up to Heel no matter what.
Is this a training issue, if so how do you get them to mind your commands?
Thank you

Thank you, leveling him up today. Yep, seems like they spook when he comes heeling to me eve when I am still.

The dogs have zero effect on the wildlife dude. No idea why you believe that.

Possibly for the reason I stated above.

yeah i think that's just our monkey brain at work. this happens after this so it's cause and effect.

don't worry, this is a human bug. politics is full of it. religion is full of it. it's a human thing to see paterns where they are not. aka Gestalt psychology.

The hounds will spook animals if it is close enough, so that is not imagined.
Praise/Pet/Play or Treat it immediately after collecting an animal that the dog has been tracking. Praise/Pet/Play with it after it giving commands... Doing these things will accelerate levelling the doggie...
As for the rest..., no comment.

Yep, I thought so. Looks like I was right, thank you Scythe. I guess these other guys just don't know what they are taking about after all. LOL ☺

well it has to be extremely close. that isn't easy to pull off. it's not like it's gonna spook animals just by walking with you.

I see what you mean. I have learned he seems to be less noticed if I keep quiet and just let him heel as opposed to trying to get him to lay down or stay, which he will not do for long.

He is far more useful than irritating, don't get me wrong. But I have seen many a time where his rushing up and past or barking coincides with animals bolting when I am motionless and low. So it has had me wondering.
