Parque Fernando: Solar Panel Drop Mission - Cables

I do not know if I am doing something wrong but after spending around 100 rounds I was not able to open the hook mechanism to release the box. I tried to shoot from different angles, with different guns and no effect at all. I am just stuck there. I spent more than hour trying to get through but it looks like it is not possible to do so.

Is there any special condition, placement or gun to release that drop hanging upon the tree? Thanks for help.

I just shot the red connector and it fell. I only used a 22 so don't need much of a weapon.

That sucks bad, man. :( I've just shot the grey part, the mechanism within the red frame that holds the package attached, and it fell.
Btw, did you get the message about the water buffalo that are near the package? Sometimes, if all steps of the mission script are not completed, things don't work as they should. I've got that message approaching the package. Also, what does the mission instruction say? I haven't even checked it as I played, but if yours says something about water buffalo, maybe that's where your mission progress got stuck.

The only thing they said about Buffalos was that the Lady was pissed about the pilot and worried, that the buffalos could attack the hunter.

Yes, as I've approached she said I should be careful about the buffalo, so I ran towards them to scare them off, lol. As they ran off I think she said something else and I proceeded to shoot the package down. If you guys didn't get the second message, maybe that is the thing that prevents you from completing the mission. At least I remember her saying some else when the buffalo ran away. Can't be 100% as I was with one foot out the door basically and just wanted to finish the mission.

My main problem was this. I was tracking a wounded deer on my way to the spot. I ran through vegetation and all of sudden I saw my deer dead on under the tree but less than 3m in front of me I had a female puma broadside waiting. In that moment I got the first message about mission.

Next I pulled the gun and shot the puma from less than 3m. She run a cirkle attacked me and died. Then I claimed the puma as a trophy and as I confirmed it the game crashed. I was not able to claim the deer.

After that I was not able to get any message about the mission when I came back to the spot. Maybe that is the problem. So I would like to know if there is a possibility to restart the mission or just forget all storyline missions because I am stuck there if I do not reset my hunter profile.

That must be the reason then. I don't know of a way to restart just that one mission.
I never had such a thing happen, but first you should try to check file integrity via Steam. If that check doesn't say any files were damaged, maybe you could try to change the map, do a mission there and get back to try again. I doubt it will work, but it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

There is also a “missions” file under Documents and I wonder if deleting its contents would reset the missions, but not your level progress and bought items.

Anyway, I strongly suggest you try a forum search for advice and that in the future you make manual backups of your save after each game. Best of luck in sorting this out!
