Geese hunting on a lake makes it easy to harvest them.
Try setting up your geese decoys as close to a lake shore as you can. Just like you would for ducks. that way when you shoot geese out over the water they float back to you just like ducks and you do not have to run around picking them up. It is hard to find a good open spot near a lake that is in a goose need zone. Here is 2 good locations for this. West side of Speeberg Lake -7862.808 8155.364 and North end of Tichenau Lake -8181.396 10655.367
Not all your kills will fall in lake but most will saving you time picking them up. Also water foul blinds seem to work just fine for geese and ducks. If you find any more good spots on a lake please share. You need to carry a decoy with you to see where you can and cant place them. I try all along the coast it wont let you put decoys there are no need zone there . The .22 is fun as hell picking of geese out over lake at distance.

i prefer a open land spot with bait and a 12G caccioni (name like this) 6 shots shotguns.

most of time, i wait for the geese to be landing (1 or 2 of them) , then i start shooting.
as the others go for the land, the time they need to fly up again let me way more enougth time to shot all of them (6 shots = 6 geese) , they never go more than a few meters.

also.. they are no need to pick them up instantly, wich mean, if you choose the land zone at the "squarre" geese spot in german map, you can have 3 group of geese coming before start picking them. ending with like 10 -20 geese on the ground when you pick them up XD

yeah i start with 12ga drop 5 or 6 then pull out .22 get 10 more shots at distance up to 200 Yard plus. and often wipe out whole flocks. most times i can reload .22 clip and get up to 20 shots off.
