Animal location maps: Layton, Hirschfelden & Taiga
I have created maps of Layton Lake District, Hirschfelden Hunting Reserve and Medved-Taiga showing the best locations for each species.

Locations with good animal population are encircled by a yellow line on the map. These spots often have a good view and feature several need zones.

There are colored circles on the border of the yellow lines showing what animals are most common over there. These can be big (very common) or small (common). Check the legend at the bottom of the map to find out what color represent each species. The very best spots are marked by a yellow star, usually you'll find plenty of animals over there.

Note that animals roam in other locations too and it's possible that you find other species in a location than represented. But overall this should give you a good impression. Let me know if you have any remarks or improvements.

Great map...looks accurate to me! Nice work.
Thank you for providing this. I will say that I regularly see elk around the lakes of Balmont.

While it may not be the most complete map, it does show a lot of great places to hunt. Also, I don't see anyone else offering any map that shows good locations to hunt certain animals.

Thanks for your hard work in putting this together Xi Law! I look forward to any improvements to your map and hope you will do the same for the Hirschfelden reserve. :steamhappy:

Thanks. I didn't add every species I've spotted to locations. I only added ones you are almost guaranteed to encounter every hunt, need zones and population are the most important criterium. Otherwise there would be little difference in locations while not every spot is recommended for all species.

For example there can be Elk pretty much every where south and south east, but not many. There are in comparison better locations for Elk. Coyote also roam in more locations but the ones marked have need zones and you are more likely to actually encounter there.

I agree it's a first version and needs improvement.

The map has been updated.
Some locations are added and you can see what animals you can expect outside of the more populated zones.
I used a recent screenshot, so most hunting stands and landmarks are now visible as well.

Great additions to the map!:steamhappy:
Would you be adverse to me adding this to the wiki page for Layton Lake?
