[Breakdown] Rating System
BONUSES

There are 3 Bonuses that apply to an Animal Harvest:

  • Quick Kill Bonus
Based on the time the animal takes to die after being shot.

Minimum
0%
The animal dies after a long period of time from bleeding out, usually due to poor shot placement.
Maximum
100%
The animal dies on the spot.

  • Integrity Bonus
Reflects the Animal Integrity after being shot with a certain weapon class.

Minimum
0%
Usually due to the use of a bigger caliber than the recommended for the species, or using multiple shots to down the animal.
Maximum
100%
Right Caliber.

*There is an excellent post done by Mark about how the Integrity Bonus works here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/518790/discussions/0/133258092237301549/

  • Consecutive Harvests

1st Harvest
0%
2nd Harvest
20%
3rd Harvest
40%
4th Harvest
60%
5th Harvest
80%
6th Harvest
100%

IMPORTANT: Having 100% in all three Bonuses gives you a Base Score of 500.

DIFFICULTY

The Difficulty reflects how "big" the animal is in terms of Trophy Rating and how aware the animal is of its environment. This mean that at higher Difficulty level, the animal will pose a bigger challenge to hunt and will require more skill to call and stalk. The Minimum Difficulty for all Species is 1 - Trivial and the Maximum Difficulty can vary depending on the species. Every difficulty has a range of Trophy Rating values.

TROPHY TYPE AND TROPHY RATING

Trophy Type is an specific caracteristic of the Species (Weight, Skull Size, Antlers, Horns, Tusks) on which the Trophy Rating (TR) will be based on. The Trophy Rating is a value given to the size/weight of the trophy; thus, a larger trophy gives you a higher rating.

Coyote

Moose

European Bison
Horns

*The minimum Trophy Rating “0” seems to be only possible for females of species that the Trophy Type is based on Antlers.

*The values for Trophy Rating are still being studied so they are subject to change.

IMPORTANT: The Trophy Rating gives you the other 500 Score needed to get the Maximum Score.

SCORE

The Score of an animal is the Final Rating and it is a combination of all three Bonuses and Trophy Rating. The higher this value, the higher the Score will be.

Maximum and Minimum Score:

Animal
Minimum Score
Maximum Score
All
0
1000

Theoretically the only way to get minimum and maximum scores would be:

Minimum:

-Animal Difficulty : 1 - Trivial (Lowest possible)
-Trophy Rating: 0
-Quick Kill Bonus: 0%
-Integrity Bonus: 0%
-Consecutive Harvest: 0%

Maximum:

-Animal Difficulty : 5 - Medium or 9 - Legendary (Depending on the species)
-Trophy Rating: Maximum of the species
-Quick Kill Bonus: 100%
-Integrity Bonus: 100%
-Consecutive Harvest:100%

There is also one more kind of Rating that includes None, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Diamond and they are based directly on the Score.

Godiga's Spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xHSUvCw8UPjlQVE22YRvDYOgpRmhivBS7Ejvqx1izdA/edit#gid=0

*This tables will only work for harvests with 100% Quick Kill Bonus - 100% Integrity Bonus - 100% Consecutive Harvests.
*The Rating "None" is not calculated because having 100% in all three bonuses gives you a 500 base Score, so it will be impossible to get it.
*The values below each animal are Trophy Ratings (TR)

I think the maximum tr for fallow deer is 230+. I killed 3 days ago a huge buck which scored 217 so I think it's passible to find bigger buck.

Thanks Roki, and yes indeed, the maximum TR for Fallow Deer seems to be 236. I think i found the formula to get every animal maximum TR, and so the TR needed for every Rating (None, Bronze, Silver ,Gold and Diamond) so I'll edit it as soon as possible.

Good one. Thanks
So range doesn't factor into your final score? I would think a skillful long-range kill would reward more than a point-blank shot, but I suppose if the end result is the same (one shot, instant/quick kill), then the range is irrelevant.

Aside from that, great work on the tables and information. We really need to set up a Wiki for this game to catalog information like this.
