Why is internet needed for playing.

My buddy wanted to buy the game on ps4.
He plays games without patch and internet.
We found out that the game needs interent for playing, is that true? {the interent dosent lie ^^}

So does this game need a forced interent connection?

nope,unless you wanna play owned dlc without having to install them.otherwise you can play offline all you want on any reserve you have downloaded
