When launching the game after having switched on the PS4, the first marked entry in menu is always "Nw Game", not "Continue Game" (I use German versionm btw.). This holds the risk that the unpatient player hits the X-button - and has his progress so far deleted. Only when leaving a session and leaving the PS on, then launch the game again, is "Continue Game" marked" as first entry.
I expcted that if you set up a tent, you need to wait long enough or do something, walking around, until the game saves, and then the game next time will sho the tent as entry point. If you set up the ent and levae the game without it having been saved, you will loose the tent, and will spawn at the next lodge next time you go into the game. Well, I just learned that this is not reliably so. i have now lost one tent after game was saved and then left the game. Coming back, the tent was gone.
I notice that some POIs that got discovered and saved for sure, next time the game launches are question marks again, switched back to being not discovered.
The Bedürfnisgebiete, as they are called in German, these areas where animals sleep, drink and eat - what are they meant to be? I repeatedly tried to play by their timetables, and sneaked in in time, stayed silent and hidden, low, and then started to sneak around. But i have never seen anmals coming in in flocks and doing what thy are supposed to do. If animals come at all. Currently it seems to me that these areas are completely functionless, and just landmarks on the map, not more. I also have the impression that some labels are mistaken/exchnaged, for exmaple the resting area for Red Deer and "Damwild" in Rathenfeld.
I already mentione dthe high sensitivity of the right stick for aiming, but when I think of it, the left stick for movement is too senstive as well, it should be possible, so shows he movement sound indicator, to dose your noise level by varying your movement speed. Well. It should, but mostly it is a game of luck. These ministicks cannot be handled with the quickness and precision of a mouse, and this circumstance should be reflected in their sensitvity.
I want a manual save game option in the menu. I understand how it is supposed to work now, but do not like it. I want to set up a tent, hit a menu option, and be done. Also, its easy to buy stuff at the lodge, and forgetting to walk around untl after you bought stuff the game saves again. All action lost. Keep it simple - add that button. Thats a no-brainer. Sometimes simplier is better.
The terribly offset hit-damage model really has started to become annoying, I must confess. At close range, from laying position, holding breath, I know all that.
Add stabilization when being inside blinds and stands, since any hunter in reality would use the construction for right this purpose as well.
I noticed that when discovering a new Bedürfnisgebiet (animal needs area, i do not know how it is called in the English verison of the game), sometimes after tracking the map symbol just does not show up, also is not ther ein later started sesisons. It gts lost. On other instances, the map symbol may show up severla hundred meters away. Clarification on whether or not the symbol reporesents any sort of a centre of such an area, and what the diameter ofsuch an area shoukld be expected to bem, would be helpful. Right now it sometimes is all over the place. I do not ask for complete precision: just a little narrowing down, and clarification.
The weather chnages and especially the duraiton of fog and rian imo is too fast, leaves you not the time to really adopt your sneaking on prey to the chaned conditions, because after short time it changes again, maybe spoiling your idea.
At night, the PDA/Huntermate shines really too bright, it should get toned down, becasue as long as it is on screen before the dark world, it has kind of a bliding effect in the low left quadrant.
Even more important is the key command for "hold breath", like the shooting button it is misplaced. When do you hit that button? When you aim, rifle is risen to the eye. Currently you have the hold breath command on L3, that means you have to press that button while t the same time same minitstick also moves you. If you do not hit the button without even the smallest micromovement to the sides, you mess up your aiming, becasue you move. That button is far too imporant as leaving it this vulnerable to messing your shot up as well. Shotting with those ministciks already is difficult enough, it does not compare to using a mouse fast and precise, that is easy.
Like the shooting button should be moved from R3 to R1, the stop breath button should be moved fro L3 to L1. L1 currently only toggles between huntermate and last used device, back and forth : having that on L3 instead, can do no harm in case you involuntarily move the stick when pressing it to toggle to the huntermate.
