"...I took breaks"
Well, that's what you get for not using an urine bottle! :)
Well, for some of us, it's not about the money, it's about the hunt. :D I've got enough money as it is... it usually keep it around the 80-100,000 mark.
Some move in return patterns, but not all - and once you spook them it really lessens the chances. Wounded animals often run in return patterns.
I hunted a mythical red deer, wrote a post about it here in steam discussions and gave the location and time to other players, then they went to that location at the same time in their own game and they also hunted it. The game is on a 24 hour loop.
Edit: I found the post I wrote with the proof:

Go to the same location at the same time in your own game and see for yourself.
I'll have to check that out. I don't play on that map unless I do multi-player with my best friend. I stick to the Pacific NW.
But this 24 hour loop thing does not apply to all animals, so I'm curious. Otherwise I'd be up on the side of Kraken trying to get that herd of 30+ again. :D
Edit: If you want to try for this bear, it was headed to the stand at the very southeast of Roonachee. It's a box stand.

You do get hunters talk about mythical animals irl. This is an example I just made up, but you hear things like this all the time: Like a giant boar that have survived hunting attempts for decades and is covered in scars from past bullet wounds. All hunters in the area would have heard tales of the beast passed down from generations of experienced hunters that 'almost bagged the beast but it got away' and would actually be a living legend. All hunters, experienced or novice would dream of seeing the animal, let alone getting a shot at it and being the one to claim the trophy for himself.
Congrats on your mythical !!!
Indeed, I'm very happy they fixed the weight problem. Considering the weight rolled at 543, you have the possibility of getting a 639 weight. From my calculation, you have less than a 1% chance of getting a 639 weight, but still a chance none-the-less ... :)
With regards to playstyle on how we get the big trophy ... Well, sitting around at the spawn area waiting for the animal to appear might be the same as going to a casino and sitting at the craps table rolling dice ... If players do that, no harm or foul, but they could have saved their money and bought some cheap dice and rolled them until they got "snake-eyes", a 3% chance of rolling something good depending on the trophy range ... :/
There's a 'spawn area' for mythical difficulty animals? O_o
Yeah, the term is really causing some confusion amongst people, They just need to use common terms for difficulty levels and let the other terminology come out through the players.
It's causing some people to believe it has something to do with trophy status or the appearance of the animal, which it doesn't. It might add to it in some way, but it's really simply supposed to be the alertness/difficulty in hunting the animal. Sure, people will find some high scoring animals with the mythical difficulty rating, but you will find animals with higher trophy ratings that are not. And when it comes to the difficulty, that really all depends on the situation and if you are hunting that specific animal (stalking/calling/using sprays). If a "mythical" walks into a clearing 300 yards away, it's not really "difficult". I shot a 7 bear that was sitting on the train tracks 120 yards from me, just yards from the Balmont RR bridge. I walked out, he didn't move (being that far away) and took him out with a shot to the back. Maybe he was suicidal, we'll never know, but it wasn't that difficult.

I mean... going from the standpoint of the terminology, and what it's supposed to show, you could find a low-scoring, whitetail doe with a mythical rating. It's nothing to write home about, but would be a good hunt if you were truly hunting it... which I don't know why someone would.
Yeah, I'm all for anyone playing the game in a way that brings them enjoyment. I'm a hunter who has spent the past 14+ years living in China, without hunting, and am using this as my "fix". I'm not a "gamer", so my hunting style is going to be more of a hunter and not a gamer. (But then again, I do like to mess around a bit when I find a bug, being an old IT guy.)
