Te Awaroa Red Deer zones big problem
My deer drink zones keep vanishing as soon as I kill one or two deer. Hunting pressure is not the issue as I use a stand/blind for each zone. Tents are all 250 m away. I kill a deer or two, the drink zone disappears, I then go pick the deer up and the footprints from other deer are still there and I can re-acquire the zone. It's really frustrating as sometimes I forget to do this and have to double back.

This has never done this sort of thing and has been doing this since the new expansion map/patch. I can't seem to find any information about this issue, and hope it's not a problem with my game only.

It is not a problem with your game only. Its has happened to me. But then again, i use Animal Population Scanner, and the DECA web site to narrow down where the animals are drink/eating.

Yeah, I don't think Animal Pop Scanner has anything to do with it. It's a read only program. I personally have only just started using APS last week. My disappearing zones started before that.

Yeah, i have the drink zones vanish on that map only for some reason. Then to top it all off, the Red Deer stop spawning at the best 2 lakes on the reserve!!! It only started after the last update and new map release.

My Red Deer grinds have ALWAYS had Red Deer at the double lake to the east on the map, just below a lookout tower. But since the update, they went MIA big time. Was the best lake to do both the Fallow and Red Deed grind in one session without even having to shange the time. Have killed hundreds of both at that spot, well use to until the Red's vanished lol. Now its my best lake to grind for Fallow only. :(

Yeah I know that spot. You might be getting the Red Deer to move to the other 4 lakes in the area instead, or the river system.

Another note of this disappearing zones I am having - this starting happening right after I got my first GO RedDeer on Te Awaroa. Probably just a weird coincidence.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you encountered trouble with your need zone map icons. This is not the experience we want to offer you.

Our team has been notified about this problem and a solution is being worked on. You can see more issues we are investigating here: Known Issues List | theHunter: Call of the Wild[callofthewild.thehunter.com]
In the meantime, the recommended workaround is spotting the animals or interacting with related tracks again after killing one of the animals to rediscover the need zone, as you have mentioned in your post.

If you encounter any other problems during your gameplay, please consider reporting them to us through our support portal and we will ensure they will be treated with proper priority: How to report a bug for theHunter: Call of the Wild[support.thehunter.com]
