Unable to complete 'Study In Crimson' mission - No Caribou on Crimson Plains in Yukon Valley

I am unable to find any Caribou in the Crimson Plains area, and as such am unable to complete the Study In Crimson mission. I have tried every lake at drinking times on multiple occasions, and have done lots of wandering in the area, but no sight of the Caribou, even with zero hunting pressure. I haven't been able to find any Caribou tracks or need zones in the area either.

The Crimson Plains have plenty of other animals for me, and i am also able to find many Caribou along the river on the eastern portion of the map.

I have watched some old youtube vids which show the Crimson Plains lakes should have lots of Caribou, but seems they are not spawning for me. I'm a new player (but racking up the hours quick). Any ideas anyone?

I believe
I found a need zone nearby to the right area. and called them in.

Towards the right of outside the Crimson Plain, there is a small pond, Caribou seem to drink or eat there at around 6 so just call them in with the antler rattler. Its the top right pond

I have caribous rest zone on this possition... -6648.000, -8608.000. i hope it will help in future... And if time is 00:00-04:00 u can find some rest zones too

Today i found Caribou in Crimson at -6453.000 -8129.585

Thanks man, sure enough I found them within 300m of that location. Just went there and shot into the air and listened for caribou fleeing.

Ok, so for the ones that come here with having a problem finding caribou for the crimson plain mission. I JUST found them. Time was at 5 am at the far right pond location -6737.989 -8155.461 it's south east of the outpost
