Just that this doesnt help anyone wanting to play together. They somehow f*ed it up ingame and need to fix it asap or at least give us the possibility to open servers with password to bypass the apex crap they made.
If you want any Steam friends to be able to join your session when they want you can alternatively set the visibility status to Friends and they can just join the session by selecting Join Lobby from the Steam friends list when right clicking your name.
EDIT: This of course assumes your GF or friends are on your Steam friends list. If they are trying to join using cross play then you'll just have to wait until the devs get this problem sorted out :(
Only one problem. She got the game via the free epic week and not via steam. In other words crossplay sort of
Edit: And servers with pw would completely bypass the apex problem but then the whole thing would have been worthless (which it was anyway tbh) and all should know devs good enough by now to know that they are way to proud for that.
Setting a server to private essentially does the same as setting a password, only people you invite can get in because the server is unlisted. Though this does not stop people you invited from inviting others as far as I know. Someone will correct me if I am wrong 🙂
A friends only server does get listed but only people on your friends list will be able to join.
You are not wrong here. The big advantage of a server with pw is simply, it can be seen by everyone cause its still seen public and you dont need a friendslist but only your friends can join. So in case there is a problem with said list, which we have atm for everyone not playing together on the same platform, people could search for the server (ok you would need to be able to give it a name too, which is for p2p servers not the case in hunter) post in the pw and everything is fine. sure you could try to go public hoping noone else joins and change to private (if a changer after start is possible, not sure atm but think not) or put only 2 or whatever slots you need for your friends, but the moment someone else joins you need to hope they hear you out and go out. Not really a good workaraound ^^
Also, if friends abuse the privilege of joining your session then they do not deserve to stay friends, just remove them and they can not come back :)
