glowing tracks and fog dazzles night vision scope and binoculars (DLC)
last night I hunt some deers at night, using the new night vision scope and binoculars,
the deers walk through older tracks and the glowing-effect get boosted by the night vision, so I cant see anything,
its a very similar issue if you turn on the fog option, you see nothing with night vision if there is fog (the fog is much to bright at night)

by the way, because there is not a dark night, increase the difference (normal dark night / night vision effect) a little

please fix this :steamhappy:

Turn off the flashlight while looking through the Bino or scope. That’s what I do for now to remedy it.

Night vision is "NIGHT" vision.

NO light.

That's exactly like real life. The tracks are not. They are a plus, a gimme. I like the fact that the tracks show up with night vision.

For twilight or head lamp use the regular scope. Like real life. Always carry the regular scope with you.

Hope this helps and good hunting.

Oh, and yes, fog will affect night vision units, in real life. It's far worse during the twilight and while using a head light.

I know this with the lamp, but I try it again, and now the glowing tracks are ok,
I think my lamp was not off yesterday :steamfacepalm: ...
if you turn the lamp on you see nothing and this is ok :steamhappy:

but with the fog issue its hard to believe that normal sight would be so much better as night vision ...

The problem with night vision units is they have their own light system, sort of. Any heat source, even plants, give off a glow which is transformed into an object in the lens.

With fog, it's cold, so there is no heat, therefore no objects show through. Instead you see a white blob. The best idea is to wait for rain to clear the fog. Water is warmer so you can see through that. The rain is simply drops, not a mass.

in the rain (in addition to some fog) night vision is worst and totaly useless, if this is realistic I am pleased,

but in general, night vision should show us more difference between normal sight (at night) and the night vision effect due to these disadvantages
