While hunting geese today I had one fall through the ground on two occasions.

Description: Both times were after shooting more than one goose. While attempting to fly away they would begin to fall from the sky as they normally will when not instant killed. However on the first occasion one fell and landed as it should well the second one fell and ended up below ground. The second time there were three geese shot in total and two were fine while the third also fell below the surface and was unreachable. This in turn resulted in not being able to harvest either kill and breaking the consecutive harvest bonus upon leaving the area.

I attempted to remedy the situation after the first incident by restarting both the pc and the game but once I logged back in and began to hunt again the second incident took place within 20 minutes.

Funny I was gonna post about this very issue as I am hunting geese and had this happen no less than 30 mins ago. I had this happen a few times already where geese were falling through the ground but wanted to see if it could be duplicated and sure enough it has. I have screen shots the same as you as I am unable to harvest them I find, for me at least, that when I shoot them with the .22 LR they get blasted sideways then fall through. I have also shot them outta the sky with the .22 LR and they crashed through the ground same as you. I haven't had it happen with a shotgun yet or at least don't remember if that happened or not.
