silver peaks: out of her comfort zone unable to progress

On the new map mission "out of her comfort zone" i cant seem to figure out how to progress. I have found her cell phone and the bear spray but even after these tracks in the below shot, nothing is progressing. it just keeps prompted me to investigate the area where it was found

Having the same problem. Found the tree after spending many minutes looking at every tree, lol. Then I shot the bear. I also found the bear spray but I can't seem to find anything else. Now I'm stuck at night and cannot find any more tracks of whatever I need to find.

Same issue here. Found the tree, phone, bear spray and footprints leading to the bear spray, but the mission still isn't progressing. Please update if you figure it out.

Update: I ran to the hunting stand just south of the cell phone location, and I got some dialogue saying "I know it's dangerous, but we should really check out that location where Baden lost her phone." Or something along those lines. My guess is there's something in that area that still needs to be "searched", although I can't find it. I had a very similar problem with the uranium mine mission because I couldn't find the third camera.

Update 2: My game crashed shortly after I got that dialogue, and upon starting the game again the mission reset. I'll see if I can find the other item this time, if there is one.

I finally finished it!

I saw Cubone mentioning footprints which I didn't know about. Looked for them and found them behind the tree, lol. When I clicked on them the guy said that she must have headed east. And now I'm onto the next mission. Until I get stuck there as well, haha.

Interesting! I was never prompted about her going east when I investigated the footprints. Hopefully I get that when I get back there.

After I returned from my game crash, I picked up the phone and looked at the tree, and then proceeded to investigate the tracks and the mission finished for me. I didn't even have to get the bear spray.

For anyone else having problems with this mission, the problem seems to be the mission not completing after investigating the footprints. The solution for me was to restart the mission by restarting the game.

These missions are super wonky. I'm now stuck at the next mission, lol. So I'm gonna take a break from the missions until they fix them properly.

I GOT IT! When the guy says "Look out a Bear!" Shoot the thing and make sure it dies. You get additional dialogue and then when you click the footprints it completes

That bear was invisible to me lol. I heard him run around me but didn't get to see him once - I'll try to restart the game and see where it leads me to....

Yes you are right, killing that bear is a vital part for that mission.

*ACTUAL PROGRESSION*
I had the same problem and looked it up and found this thread. In-between the phone/bear encounter and the landmark/bear mace you SHOULD find a track of human footprints. They glow brighter than normal tracks. once you interact that queues the next dialog.

I think I quit half way through this mission a couple days ago. Now it's broken. The game will not let me interact with the tree or the airhorn, no matter what angle I look at it. I can interact with the footprints and bear spray, but only the spray gives dialogue and it is useless dialogue that does not help me. Restarting the game does nothing except let me interact with the spray again. This is real frustrating, I've tried everything

I am afraid, that they gave up solving this bug. My game progress is stuck at the same point.
