YUKON Grizzly Bears sounds
Hi, I am here to complain about YUKON Grizzly Bears sounds. Their footsteps sound like rabbits. And their alert growlings remain inaudible. And they run like hell, faster than anything...

that's funny, i made a post earlier that the rabbits running by you sound like bears, they got their sound files crossed lol.

I just hunted for them (SP). Shot and killed one at close range that ran from me like a dairy cow. Not aggressive in the least. I saw sound markers for two other bears, but they still make no audible sounds for me and seemingly they can't hear Distressed callers. The bears on Layton that I hunted earlier today make good solid sounds and can at times be very aggressive.:steamfacepalm:

Grizzly Bear Warning Call
I hoped this update might have fixed this problem, but it hasn't been done yet. I know it is not a big problem. Nevertheless, it decreases the pleasure that I have been taking from this game.

There's no sound, just the visual. And their footsteps sound like rabbits, and rabbits (at least in CC) running past you sound like bears.

Grizzly bears make no sound at all
Hello!
I'm one of the admins of a Hungarian fan group of The Hunter: Call of the Wild
Some of our members reported a bug on Yukon Valley. Since one of the last few updates, The grizzly bears make mating- and warning calls, what is noticable on the screen, BUT their calls and steps are not audible at all.
The problem has arose in multiplayer and in single player mode as well.
I must indicate this problem did not arise in all of us, but more than 3 members detected the same error.

R any of those members using the family share plan Steam offers? Just curious since there are many similarities between maps and bugs for those using that plan. It's still a bug though.

I am playing COTW from my Brothers library using family sharing and I have no audible warning sounds from Grizzly. I can see the visual clue they are warning me, but no sound. I do however have footstep sounds and attack sounds.

Roger that, but the footsteps are more like those from rabbits. Any deer is louder than a 1000 pounds bear... That sucks. And now they run faster than a sport car, it's awful.

Youkon: Grizzly Bears are mute.
Grizzly bears in youkon valley are mute. They don`t produce audio for "Warning Call" or for when getting injured. I also suspect they don`t generate footstep audio.

This has happened in multiple sessions (only tried singleplayer) and seems to affect every grizzly bear.

Did today's CotW update (June 23) fix this problem? The release notes claim they fixed sound problems, but I don't want to spend money buying the Yukon map unless this bug is actually fixed.

I'm playing Yukon right now, since I'm stuck on the FIRST mission of the new reserve LOL. So can't really play it, besides sandbox mode. So I'll tell you as soon as I encounter a Grizzly. Exploring areas where there's supposed to be some so, will happen eventually. LOL
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thanks for confirming it's fixed.

My pleasure. The low framerate weapons' animation is confirmed to be looked into by the devs. So hopefully, it will get fixed soon enough.
