Lack of blood and Invisible animals to claim? STILL..
This is getting tiresome. Sometimes lack of blood trails or no blood at all, and invisible animals that you've taken down that crashes the game if you attempt to harvest them.. Very tiresome to say the least and some areas seem to have less animals than before the "update". Hopefully the small update promised this coming week will sort it out? I won't hold my breath. :steamfacepalm:

Same problem here, invisible dead animals, that if you press E and try to find them, the game crashes on the harvest screen.

This has happened to me on and off since the beginning and it still does on occasion. The specs of my PC has nothing to do with it. It's a buggy game and has been from the outset. The fact that it hasn't happened to a lot of people is irrelevant, if it happens to be you it's happening to. Like I keep saying, "Great game, but buggy as hell". One of the main reasons I won't buy any more DLC, and I mainly come on to just read the comments as I'm totally fed up with the way the game is. No good keep adding to it until they get to grips with the bugs. Each update adds fixes and also more bugs.

its just... i know that this blod thing happens... but i have this maybe on 1 of 50 animals, so i just think some ppl exaggerate this "bug" or have it more often than me and if so it could be a problem with some specific software or whatever

and I NEVER hat invisible animals in 350 hours ( i play all maps)
but i 100% play Singleplayer

I used to believe there was a bug and that blood trails ended suddenly and that the animal was gone...turned out I sucked at tracking. Now I find 90%+ of kills. Use your Huntermate (tab). Also, one of the best pieces of advice someone gave me for this game is set your tracking color to bright green. It just pops in most vegetation (even green plants) color-wise. So, maybe try that.
I've never had invisible animals, but then again they are hard to see by nature.

+1
Tracking issues i get now and then, never seen the invisible animals either on any map and i have over 1700 hours in this play through, 3 other play throughs i restarted and i dunno how much time i spent in those games and never had an invisible animal. totally vanished once or twice but never invisible.

Watch telling people it could be an issue with their system. you'll get everyone pissed off cause nothing is ever wrong with their setups :-)

Good point, i use bright purple on all maps but Hirch, and CC, it tends to blend in on those. I use hunter orange on CC and one of the bright blue on Hirsch so it stands out.

Recently, I have had 2 cases of invisible animals & both were self-inflicted. The 1st was hunting from a tripod in Africa. Shot several animals, picked them up, & FT to another location. Almost immediately I realized that I forgot to pick up one gemsbok & FT back to the previous location. Followed his trail & he was "gone" as in not visible. Searched the area & finally ran over the claim trophy prompt but did not see anything. Harvest screen came up normally, & I went about my business.

The 2nd case was the same situation but on Hirsch. Shot several animals from a tripod, picked them up, & FT to another location. This time I actually hunted the new location for a good while b4 I remembered that I did not pick up a red deer from the last location. FT back & tracked him. At the end of the trail the claim prompt was there, but he was invisible. When I claimed him the harvest screen for the boar I shot right b4 him came up for maybe 1 sec, then CTD. The funny thing was that when I logged back in & checked the latest harvest, it had credited me properly for the red deer.

So, perhaps FT causes your kills to become invisible. And if you wait too long to claim them they may get bugged as well.

fast travel makes them vanish/despawn, whatever you wanna call it. i had a tent set up by a stand, killed an animal there, shot another and had to go track it. rather than walk the 300m or so back i did a fast travel to the tent. my kill there was then gone.

Never had an issue with time for claiming them. Saturday i killed a boar in Medved, had to drive my son to work so hid in a bush, came back about 30 minutes (give or take) later and harvested the boar.

Also, if you move far enough away from the kill so they're out of render distance that can cause issues, I've had some vanish from that, and have seen posts of them invisible from it.

Guessing the vanishing/despawning may be bugged and just makes them invisible.

Today I left an outlook and there were two water buffalo. I shot him but he killed me, but while dead I saw the body outline of the dead animal. It took me back to outpost, went back for dead animal...gone. So maybe bug.

In my case they were not gone, just invisible. So you have to search the area until you run over the claim prompt.

My friend and I were playing MP on LL a few days ago. He shot a Elk near the old mine shaft and he told me that he was unable claim it. I joined him at the location and saw a large blood splatter but I saw no Elk. He still saw the dead Elk but couldn't harvest it, and I saw only the blood splatter from the kill shot. Neither one of us had fast traveled and he had tried immediately to harvest the animal. I tried to harvest the animal that I couldn't see using the blood splatter for reference, but I could't harvest it either. I was hosting the MP session.

That´s pretty much what happened to me but in my case it popped up the harvest screen of a Whitetail deer for a split second (instead of a Bear) before the crash.
