Red Deer still sound like elk

The red deer in Parque Fernando (and possibly Hirschfelden, though I have not checked yet), are still giving elk mating calls.

doesn't bother me if the elk caller works for red deer. ?

But I only hunt LL's and Medved currently.
Don't really care about the other reserves.

Seems rather petty to me... when there are so many other bugs that effect game play.

I don't know if the elk caller works, but on Hirschfelden my red deer caller still worked fine on them. Apparently the deer haven't forgotten about their native tongue even though they exclusively speak a foreign language now

No, the elk caller doesn't work. It's just a bug that was introduced with Parque Fernando

Red Deer Sound on Parque and Hirsch

The red deer sound on Parque/Hirsch is all messed up. Either they don't make a sound when replying to the caller, even though you clearly see the sound effect or they sound completely off like a red deer with a cold or something on Parque and Hirsch still have the elk screech when calling. I just did the Hirsch daily yesterday (And Hirsch was my first map when I started the hunter, so I know how they are suppose to sound.) and they sounded normal when making the warning sound. So the two maps are completely dif when it comes to red deer sounds (No sound). But now I am doing the weekly (On Hirsch) and they sound like elk! What gives! This is an old bug that still has yet to be addressed already.

Don't know, might be a recent thing but I heard them just fine in PF at 0300hrs MST USA today. A couple of does roared like they were stags but that's been known to happen for quite some time now. I see vocal rings without hearing the sound quite often on all animals on all maps. Usually when they are beyond the effective range of the caller(s) I can use for them.

Yea I was no more than 80 yards from the deer when it called the first time and nothing came outta it's mouth and the second one was that weird I have a cold sound and this was on PC. Not sure about console. But I also have them calling as elk on parque, they are all over the board.

Yep, I'm also getting the messed up mating calls on Hirsch/PF. (Red Deer sounding like Roosevelt Elks) It's been going on ever since I got the game back in January. Warning calls for both male and female Red Deer are fine for me, sometimes they are silent with just the vocal rings appearing, but that doesn't happen too often for me.

Why are the Red deer calling like Bull elk. Is it too difficult to replace a sound file and get it right.
Last night I hunted on Hirschfelden and saw a red deer hind lift her head and let out an all godly scream like a bull elk. Is there a problem that the devs dont know there is a difference between the two species and their very individual calls.
I have hunted Red deer my whole life. I find this totally unaceptable on so many levels.

This is something that has been reported over and over again. The devs have responded that they are looking into it.
