Grelck Drilling Gun - Changing barrels doesnt work

title says it all.. changing the barrel of the Grelck Drilling Gun doesnt always work.. holding R but nothing happens. To be honest, its more often that it doesnt work then its working, so i didnt even used it since i bought the dlc.. thats a shame, cause it costs money, so i expect it to work!

i ONLY play multiplayer, i dont have a clue if this happens in singleplayer too.

Someone else reported the same issue and after testing said:

"Ok so done some testing and its when you put the falcon scope on the gun and try to change ammo type it bugs the gun out till you restart."

Is this the case for you too?

I have also had some issues with this rifle, and can confirm that it is indeed ALOT worse when the scope is applied, and trying to switch barrels. there can still be delays with switching barrels with scope off, but it's nowhere near as bad. This problem does also appear to be happening in multiplayer only, and not singleplayer for me anyway.

Some quick fixes appear to be either restart the game, or just don't put the scope on it for now.

i didnt try it without a scope, but im using the hyperion..
yes, gamerestart is a quick fix, but not usable ofc..

Grelck Drilling Rifle: i can't change barrel in multiplayer.

My friend and I, we often can't change the barrel of Grelck Drilling Rifle. Sometimes it works but often it doesn't works.
Just want to know if other players have this problem.
We stopped playing this awesome rifle in multiplayer.

my friend and i have problems with the drillign in multiplayer. It's nearly impossible to change the amo to the 9,76mm. In singleplayer i have no problem, but in multiplayer its seem that he didnt recognize a loong "r". And so its random if he change.
Can anybody confirm it?

Can confirm. A friend who regularly joins my game, have the same problem. I started to get the bug too. I managed to fix it by holding right mouse button to aim, quickly tap middle mouse button to mount on/off scope, and at the same time holding "R" to change ammo, or something like it. I can't really explain better, but the bug happened after i put on/off scope in the middle of getting the gun up to aim after reloading. Worked for me at least until next time the bug appears. When will you fix the problem with switching cartridges in the barrel of the rifle? The weapon simply does not react to switching ammunition, when they pin the "R" switch does not occur. Ammo in stock and the rifle barrel and in the barrel of the gun.

You have to press and hold ''R'' to switch between barrels ,you'll hear a click.

I figured out that it breaks when you fast travel. When I load into the map it works fine. If I decide to Fast Travel to another Lodge or a tent, it breaks. I've tried it on multiple maps and its always the same result. Please fix

Ok, that probably what happened to my friend, bug after fast travelling, for me it was in the field. Thank you, i will notify my friend about this and hope they get around to fixing stuff soon.

I have been using the Drill rifle recently, i can confirm that if you die/fast travel when using this weapon you can no longer switch between ammo types.

This team seems to actually try and fix things so hopefully it will be soon. Unlike the Generation Zero team whom cannot be bothered to fix/improve anything.

Yes. We were on yukon on tuesday and his drill worked fine. We didnt fast travel and nobody died. The problems were on africa, where we did fast travel a lot between different stands.
So nothing to do with multiplayer ?!
