The waterbuffalo are crazy!
Today on three occasions I was killed by Waterbuffalo in SE Patagonia. On each occasion i respawned at a cabin and the buffalo followed me home. (More than 500m) When they got there they proceeded to attack the cabin and try to get into it. I had to shoot my way out. This has never happened to me before in Patagonia or anywhere else.

Also, I set up a tree stand in SE Patagonia too. As luck would have it a whole herd showed up but two Buffalo got stuck at the bottom of my tree and two others ran around the tree in crazy circles! I had to teleport to the cabin whereupon the two running ones showed up for lunch and tried to attack me in the cabin.

Perhaps you would like to look into this and fix it, please.

WBs tend to be the most aggressive of the buffs but I've been killed by both CBs and WBs many times. I've had lions get caught in the teleport beam and kill me again right after I stepped out of the recovery tent. It's a wild ride isn't it?

Well it's actually both annoying and hilarious.

I mean, yes they are aggressive but this was neverending. I'm sure they are good BBQ, though.

Yes, its a known thing that the WB and Cape Buffalo are WAY over aggressive. I'm all for them being aggressive, I mean really, the Cape Buffalo didn't earn its nickname of "Black Death" by acting like a fluffy bunny lol, but as they are now they are like hyper aggressive. They both need to be tweaked a little

There needs to be a option to turn off animal attacks as that was not how the game was from day one

Been reported many many times over the course of time, bug fixes and game play balancing are not high on their list unfort!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the animal attacks but it is over the top now from my latest experience. I mean really, irl would a buffalo follow you or even know where to go it you "fast travelled" away from him by 500 m. I think not.

the only thing i can come up with is they are now a crossbreed with the African Cape Buffalo before the update, they have got a whole lot more aggressive, they used to be like cows, now they are all like bulls with massive testosterone injections. the only suggestion that i have is to carry a big mean powerful weapon with you and your eyes and ears wide open.when you are in their hood.

It really gets your heart going when you have 3 chasing you as I did today. The trick is to drop the scope and keep running then turn around and backup as you are shooting then run forward again, repeat. They will only run to the spot that you last shot from then spin around run off then start towards you again.
Dropped all 3 in the end but it was intense.
These were Cape Buffalo's, Water Buffalo's do a similar thing but I generally just walk into the water where they cannot get you unless it is shallow swampy water.

good tips there Jimco

the best advice really is to use a scope and shoot them from a distance, (100m) preferably from cover. It they can't see you they just run around without trying to attack you. It's when you get too close that you get a problem. They need their "space" man.

Still relatively new to the PC version of the game, I was hunted by up to 4 water buffalos in PF while riding an ATV - and they followed me all across the map for over 2.5 km and away from the water and into the mountains, and broke into the house. There I got killed.

This is not a feature or a bad game element balance, this simply is a bug - and I call it a game breaking bug, because it really can spoil and ruin the session, and the fun of playing this.

I read in several other threads that I searched out that the issue is known SINCE MONTHS, and also lions are behaving like this. But this studio just do not care to set its priorities straight, I unfortunately know this from TH Classic. Some important bugs that rendered game elements useless in there were not fixed for YEARS. And some even never.

These things here are serious BUGS. Why do they even still exist after many months since they were added? Bugs of this callibre should lead to letting all other things rest and concentrating on solving these hugh callibre bugs ASAP, not just in one or two years. I now have PF locked down and more or less unusable, and Africa as well, I wonder what bad surprises await for me in Yukon.

Add to this the unreliable game stability. I certaionly will stop here and also will not consider buying further DLCs until they have gotten the real nitty gritty and the done.

You should try driving close to Wolves. They love to chase ATVs. They will chase you down!
Skybird Jul 3, 2019 @ 11:32am
I use the ATVs only to unveil all locations and lodges, by climbing onc epon those watchtowers.

Beside that, the chase bug is a bug as much as the word "bug" can mean. Because if things were like they are by wanted design, I would need to call the designers insane.

Extremely annoying. Kills the appetite to play on. Instab ility and crashes since over two years, and this behavioural bug since several months. Very bad record.

Play with the Tripod- the animals cannot attack you up there. The other day a wolf pack swamped me and one bit my behind before I could make it up the Tripod but then I proceeded to waste them- 12 wolves dead and the others ran off. Now I won't leave home without the Tripod if I am playing Alaska or Africa.
