"Distressed" callers not working for wolves.

I've tried daily since the Yukon DLC dropped and still have been unable to lure any wolves. I always pack both callers and have noticed that bear and fox continually/frequently respond to the callers but NEVER any wolves. I've verified my game files 2 or 3 times now and that hasn't fixed the issue. I've also spotted wolves within calling distance and I've noticed that visually they show zero reaction to the calls. Bears, fox, moose, caribou all respond to the calls normally and ducks fly to placed decoys.

Yes, you're right.
The wolves I chase them following their tracks and looking in my sights, the callers are ineffective.
But as long as the repair patch does not come out I hunt on Medved, the Yukon is causing me too much crash.

The rabbit distress caller sorta worked... as they came in closer... but not within bow range.
but then they ran away when I tried using the fawn distress caller.
So I'm not so sure either of those suffice or work ?

Obviously the best lure is using yourself as bait.
tho' sometimes that doesn't end very well. Lol

Others recommend deploying a Tripod stand at the first wolf growl heard.
and I saw a youtube video showing the results of that.
But my reflexes are not quick enough and I usually end up killed : (
