FIX FOR LOADING SCREEN FREEZE - NO PROGRESS LOST

I had what seems like a common experience of my game freezing upon loading in it would get stuck after all the company logos appeared and I knew the game was frozen because the morphing bear logo would stop moving. I FOUND THE FIX.

Make sure Steam cloud is disabled.

Go to documents, avalanche studios, and make backups of all folders within.

Next go back to avalanche studios folder then COTW, saves, and click on the folder that is a long string of numbers in my case it was "76561198027716804"

Scroll down and look for a file called "playerinformation_adf" and delete it.

Launch the game, you will have to accept their user agreements again but should still have all your progress saved!

EDIT: It's come to my attention that the Revontuli Coast DLC is also causing freezing issues so if you're playing on that reserve and this fix didn't work for you, try again and also delete the file named "reserveworlddata_adf" located in the same place as "playerinformation_adf"

I forgot an important point about disabling steam cloud before doing anything, have edited the post let me know if that works.

Same here. Not sure what else to do seems like the user agreements trying to load somehow freezes the game if you've already accepted them...

Today I tried launching without doing the fix first and it loaded fine! Could this indicate a fix has been implemented? Anyone else seeing an improvement?
