Crashes when I start game

Just bought the game, but every time I launch it says the game has stopped working, It gets to the first 2 loading screens and then has a window that comes up about dumping information and sending error report....did I just waste $30? or is there something I can do to change it

Do you have Bit Defender anti-virus? This creates problems.
