Graphics question
Hey guys,

Loving this game, once again I have to say it! I love it, just bought all the DLCs after 60 hours of enjoying it. Anyway!

Simple question, I tried several times fiddling with the graphics settings to remove the black pixels as seen in the 2 screenshots below: they come at a certain distance, bare eyes or with binoculars, but no success removing them so far.
Changing the FXAA and TAA thing seems to have some impact, but when I set these off, the game becomes much less pretty! (like, all blurry with the grass). With the setting on, much cleaner. For info I have on average 75 FPS and no bugs, the whole game runs smoothly and impeccably, all settings on ULTRA. No complaints on that side.
But this black pixels thing is just a bit annoying! Any idea?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe that is being addressed in the upcoming patch.

"Improved sample pattern for SSAO (Screen Space Ambient Occlusion), improving shadows in the game;"

Those black pixels you are seeing are the result of having anti-aliasing turned off. There isn't much you can do about it but here's a suggestion. First, turn anti-aliasing on (FXAA + TAA). The image will become blurry but this can be fixed using an image sharpening filter. There is none in the game so you have two options: Either use image sharpening directly from your graphics card control panel or use an external program like Reshade.

There might be a confusion but that is actually the opposite for me: FXAA+TAA has always been on! and that is why I get the black dots. However, like I said, when I try fiddling with it (either putting only FXAA or both OFF) it goes away, BUT the grass and vegetation becomes super blurry and not enjoyable at all.

This is really odd. The opposite of what you are describing should happen. Blurriness is an effect of anti-aliasing. There shouldn't be any if it's turned off. On my system i'm getting those black pixels when i turn anti-aliasing off.

Anyway, maybe your settings file is messed up? Try deleting it and see if there's any difference, disable steam cloud saves first.
