I use keyboard and mouse and play on an ultrawide screen @3840 x 1080 maxed out settings.
Things I found out so far.
This "bug" won't appear when I change my resolution to e.g. 1920 x 1080 windowed or fullscreen doesn't matter but is unplayable since it is totally messed up in terms of pixel stretching. I can use my x-box controller to navigate the map the way it is intended but it is a pain in the a** to switch input devices during gameplay.
I did uninstall and reinstall the game -no effect.
Is there anyone that had a simmilar expirience or knows how to fix this?
Thanks for reading this and your time.
Greetings.
Never played this game again since they don't work on bugs.
When I set it to windowed mode at a lower resolution, it places the game to the far left of the monitor. Since window mode is borderless, I can't move the window to the center of the screen.
The only way I can play the game is to lower the resolution, set the waypoint, and then set the resolution back up to 5120 x 1440 again. Because of this, I haven't played this otherwise great game.
I see no reason why this map issue can't be fixed. Thanks in advance.
So we're getting dogs, but no fixes of outstanding bugs? Different dev teams, maybe, but priorities for bug fixing after the community asked for that to be prioritised?
If I try setting the resolution to any of the 16:9 settings, it goes to the borderless window and places the window all the way to the left of the screen. Since it's borderless, I can't reposition the window to the center. So, when I tried playing it, any time I wanted to set a new waypoint I had to set the resolution to 1920x1080, set a waypoint, then set the resolution back again. Too many steps for it to be enjoyable at all. I understand the appeal of a borderless window, but in this case, it is more of a hindrance than anything.
With the exception of setting waypoints, this game is top-notch. Since the developers seem to have opted to ignore those with ultrawide setups, I will be avoiding Expansive Worlds future titles. Since they only have this title, it won't be hard to do. I am surprised that Avalanche Studios Group who helps publish this game seems fine with how Expansive Worlds has handled this issue. Other games that Avalanche is a part of lack any resolution issues at least for me.
I can promise you, that's not the best option. I understand that it's very frustrating but spamming the live stream will only result in a ban from the live stream. The best option is to contact support.
