Game is freezing PC after 1.8!

After new patch game froze 3 times already! I could not find any logs, so as a software developer myself I wish you good luck finding why, because my only description is - game freezes.

I would not care if it is only game freeze, but it freezes my whole computer and I have to reset - so it can actually damage my software and even hardware. My PC havent froze a single time in any other game or when playing before 1.8 patch. It happens randomly after lets say 30+ mins of gameplay. And yes, temperatures are fine.

My PC specs can maybe help:
i7 7700K
Nvidia gtx 1070
16gb ram
Windows 10

use DDU (display driver uninstaller) to clean all previous drivers, start your pc in safe mode (F8)
to make sure all drivers are cleaned and install the latest driver after reboot.

Thank you for your advice, but I wont be doing this kind of stuff just because only 1 game. The problem is not on my side. My drivers are up to date and it started doing this after the latest patch.

If this has to be done to make game work, it is not worth it.

it can be the last windows 10 update, it is interresting that the patches for the game, provided allways nearly at the same time....

Its weird.. But I wont risk damaging my pc with 5 hard resets a day just because this game, which should be in beta state and I personally would replace the development team for someone more experienced. Because so far it is a mess. I don't believe that it is being developed by the same guys who did The Hunter Classic which looks professional.

if a game can hijack your puter something def is wrong with the os.

So I did some research and this can really be the problem of Windows 10 Creators update. My PC is perfectly stable. I tried playing witcher 3 and BF1 and it works. But hunter and one other game just freeze. I tried to disable everything related to "gaming mode" introduced in Creators Update, but still I think there is maybe a problem that needs to be fixed by The hunter devs. For example in mass effect people had to reduce refresh rate by 1Hz to keep the game stable.

I am running creators edition without any problems. I did have a little issue a while back, I did a hard shutdown, and restart and was fine after that.

Also check your settings.json file, maybe something changed, maybe trying to start in Borderless window or something.

It happens in Euro Truck Simulator 2 too, but games like Witcher 3, Battlefield 1, Heroes of the storm work without problems. Hunter was ok before Creators update too. I havent seen any freeze on this PC before creators update.
