Accidentally pressed new game.

Hi.

I accidentally pressed new game and now all my progressed is gone is there a way for me to get back my previous progress or is it completly gone?

There is a manual way to save your game. Copy the folder "Saves" from this directory into another directory as a backup (don't move or delete the original)
(in your Documents folder)... C:\Users\(your account)\Documents\Avalanche Studios\theHunter Call of the Wild\

It tells you when you click new game:

"Starting a new game will delete all your previous progress. Are you sure you wish to proceed?"

Check to see when your last restore point was, maybe you will get lucky, and it will be close to when you hit "New Game".

When you are new to the game that can be mistaken as the mission progress on the map you are on. Thats what i thought what i meant at least cause i didnt know how to change map.

The first missions tell you how the game works. I agree, the game lacks fool-proof safety features (like theHunter Classic) so people don't mistakely erase their progress when they are new to the game. I did the same mistake; I guess I was lucky I didn't loose much at that point. When I first started, I had no idea how to go anywhere, how to reach another "home" point or anything. Most people go straight to the game (like me) and get lost and frustrated pretty quick... but once you start understanding how it works, I like this game better than the Classic version. It will take time for them to fix the main bugs (it took a long time for the Classic version to be mostly bug free as it runs now), I just don't understand why they don't prioritize that versus creating new hunting grounds. I would not mind paying for a DLC that fixes the bugs in ALL the current hunting grounds instead...
