Field of View. Hunters move at half the speed of Smell now at any normal VIEW setting.
The visual in the game is very important and currently for me its been ruined. I dont know who is testing what, but NOW the game, and game-play seem to be set at a manditory setting of 120 field of view, for your character to semingly move correctly in a normal human fashion, or speed.

In general this [Field of View] settings is/are to allow the player to adjust the field of view mostly based on what type and size of monitor or TV they have. Apparently, the game is being tested on a $5,000 dollar ultra wide curved TV screen.

The field of view setting basically starts curving your screen when you adjust it for 50 upwards. I personally cannot play this game with a manditory setting of 120 field of view as it curves the view too much.... Making the center of the screen smaller [pusing it further away distance wize] and things on the edge bigger. This makes it hard to judge distance in a game where we are shooting at stuff.... and makes the visuals in them look wonky [bowed], and frankly.. Ugly.

This setting of 120 field of view makes the whole game look wonky, but anything lower than this in the game makes your character "hunter" [look and feel] as if they are moving at half the speed of SMELL. NOW... this was an update..... It wasnt always like this.

Do we all have to buy new TV's and Monitors to play this game now? My TV is 32x19....@ 120x1080. How wide of a TV/Monitor do we have to have now? Is it 50x19? I personally cannot go above a Field of View of 85 before it starts looking wonky [too curved]. But now my Hunter is moving at Half the Speed of Smell at this setting. In order to fix this, I have to set the game at the max of 120 to make my hunter move at a normal "visual" speed but it makes the game look like crap.

Im not sure I can afford an ultra wide curved TV right now. So how about we unfix what you suposedly fixed, and stop testing the game and making adjustments to it in a field of view setting of 120. How about we used something inbetween 50 and 120.... like lets say 85 so everyone can enjoy and play the game no matter what TV or Monitor they have.

The main issue I have with this is if you dont setting your field of view at 120... it looks like your character is moving at half the speed of smell.... like you have hit the "Z" button at anything blow 100-105 which is still to wonky to enjoy.

This wasnt the case not but a few days ago. Its like the game is just for ultra wide curved screen TV's and monitors NOW. How about you let me play at something inbetween without it making it look like Im creaping along at faster than a speed half the speed of smell and where I can acutally drive the ATV without wrecking into everything because the screen is sow bowed I cannot control the damn thing. Id love to play the game at a setting of 85, but moving at half the speed of smell dosnt really work for me. It ruins the game, and game play.

Sorry I dont have $5,000 laying around to go and buy an ultra wide curved screen TV in order to play a $30 dollar game.

Field of view setting of 120 is NOT a normal setting... its the max setting and shouldnt be used for adjustments to the game or game play. IMO.

I just got this game and now its already ruined... How often do they brake the game like this, or is this just an update after the STEAM time has expired for you to return it just to piss you off.

Sorry, Im kind of pissed, because I was really enjoying the game, but moving at half the speed of smell kind of ruins it. lol

Im at a loss... This whole thing kind of ruined it for me. We used to call these games 30 dollar coffee costers, but we dont even get teh coffee coster anymore.

Sorry, but if something changed, it was on your end. Nothing has changed with the field of view, especially in the last few days.

Try moving the cursor around the scroll arrows. Maybe because the view is so distorted that the sweet spot is not where it is suppose to be.

I don't disagree that the FOV is a bit odd compared to a lot of games but nothing has changed recently and it has always been this way.

I'm not sure what type of FOV calculation is used, sorry.
