So...after verifying files...still won't launch. Can anybody help with this? Or did I just waste my money?

Have you tried the Technical Troubleshooting thread? Lots of things to try in there.

Can you go to "Event Viewer">windows logs>applications> error for COTW. Post "Event ID" or error code itself.
