Look careful especially when turning to the left and right.
For convenience and distinction - each controller is with a different weapon selected.
Moving with rifle - mouse used = small lags, the animation is not smooth.
Moving with crossbow - XPad used = animation is perfect smooth.*
* So bigger lags are becasue of capture software. They do not occur in game mode.
I love this game, but it's giving me a headache.
Mmmm. It seems to me that the mouse turns much faster. Can you try to lower you input sensitivity for the mouse in the games options and see if that helps?
Does not help, spent hours for a fix, never happened.
There is something wrong with the game.

I tested many mice. The problem is how the game analyzes the signal it gets from the mouse. The raw signal is actually "jumping". The game engine should smooth this signal.
Those were my findings on this issue also in another thread where many of us discussed this and tried to resolve it. I actually had to purchase a controller just so that I could see what others were explaining and to try and help find a solution. It's night and day once you try a controller or for those sensitive to these things.

Running the game at around relatively stable 70 FPS, but when looking around it feels weird and stuttery.
Before I only barely noticed this issue, but now (without even knowing an issue like this exists) it felt just aweful.
I came to the forums to check if this was a common issue and found this.
Btw, I did a bunch of testing.
Using the controller makes the stuttering disappear (as already mentioned by some people before).
Plus moving the mouse and opening the Steam overlay makes the camera continue moving, but smoothly.
It DEFINITELY has something to do with the input detection of the mouse movement.
Anyways, we can only gues for reasons - the fix has to be made by the devs.
I'm just not sure if it was this bad before and I just didn't realize it or the patch made the stuttering appear / worse.
There have been days I played this game for almost the whole (free) day (8+ hours), but this evening it started to get headache after around an hour of playing it.
Therefore I am surprised I did not heavily notice the mouse movement stuttering before.
Nevertheless, you're just right: Once seen you cannot unsee it. It's there and won't ever go away. :/
Not even a single response.
Try a controller and then switch back to mouse, come back to this topic again.
