Slow movement

Hello,i think i've a compatibility problem i can't play the game all work except movement i play solo and multi same issues see all player move as a slow motion even walk or run all movement are slowly than it will be

Yeah, I have this problem to, you can run backwards, it's actually faster to do so.

Extremly Slow Running and Walking Speed

This game is absolutly amazing but my character walks and runs like he is crippled and when I play multiplayer anyone just walking moves fatser than my sprint. How can i fix this or what should I do? It literally takes forever for me to get places and when im chasing an animal it takes so long to catch up with criippled legs.

Are you carrying several weapons or additional items? I would imagine the speed is based off the weight you are carrying although I have no idea, carrying a 243 and 270 seems to make me slower but I cant really tell

This is happening to a friend of ours were trying to play with and were trying many different things to fix it yet he always moves slower then us. Even as a new character or and having only the basic starting gear he ALWAYS moves slightly slower then both of us, his walk is slower then our walk, his crawl is slower then our crawl, his run is slower then our run. It has nothing to do with what you have equipted because we have far more ammo. It has something with the game files (even the animation looks like they are choppy)

Something to do with the Handheld. We switch from the handheld to rifle and then I speed up again.

Switching from the handheld to the rifle did nothing, still extremely slow for no reason at all. Even a new character, in singleplayer he said he goes normal speed

@ RusBus, same here with my fiand and i, he's using a laptop im not, is your friend using a laptop?

I had this happen for a few seconds when I restarted my router... Could be a connection issue?

Moving speed (and speed of any animation) seems do be connected to fps. Less fps = slower movement. A lot of people pointed out that the huntermate drops fps drasticly.

He is not using a laptop and has a better computer thei me, and has no fps problems. Hes movement is slow now even in single player, his character is permanently crippled. It doesnt slow down firing a gun, or using the menu, or buying stuff, or loading the gam. The animals animations and environments and even other players animations and movement are fine when looking at others, just for some reason his movement speed is set at 15 while everyone is set at like 20.

I felt no performance issues but a small lag input kept my character from moving in normal speed. Try turning off a few high performance effects and it should become better.

Backup your save file, just in case it doesn't work for you. You can find it here: {USERFOLDER}\Documents\Avalanche Studios\theHunter Call of the Wild\Saves\{STEAMID#} copy that folder up to the COTW folder. Start a new game, see if that fixes it.

Turning down graphics did nothing, its not a performance or FPS issue, its literally a character for no reason moving slower issue. The game runs perfectly fine, just he moves 20% slower then the rest of us, his run is like our regular walk.

Keeping the save file and reinstalling did nothing..

I am having the same problem, in multiplayer other people walk/run twice as fast.

My characters full out run is other players regular walk and I have tried everything but all of these solutions have not worked.
