Steam must be running.... error msg

Hey,

Just finished downloading the game and tried to start it. C++ Redist gets installed, then I get an error message "Steam must be running and logged in to play title online." Needless to say I am online, otherwise I couldn't have bought and downloaded it.


After clicking OK I get an error report "theHunterCotw_F has stopped working" with the option to send the report (which I did twice).

Any idea?

Have you tried to verify the integrity of game Files? If not, try that first.

1.Restart your computer and launch Steam
2.From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3.Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
4.Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.

Hey, i've got the same problem, but non of your tipps worked. Still got the error when starting the game.
