Mauser 98/98K

I swear seeing a Mauser in this game would be nice, preferably a 98 chambered in 8mm Mauser. It would make a nice competitor for the Mosin as far as class 3-7 rifles would go and another milsurp. Plus it already is in Classic, and is quite a good rifle to boot. Given it's legacy and the fact most modern bolt actions draw inspiration from it.

I like the military rifles. I wish they had given us the option to have the .303 in its original form instead of the modified version we have. It has no style of its own and just looks like the .300 and .243.

Maybe he is talking about his clan or some RL friends or some other group you are no part of. And if so, why won´t you allow him to speak for this group? Maybe he is the voted leader and has permission to speak for many?

Interesting. How do you come to the conclusion that Lotte is not allowing the OP to speak for a group or themselves? If "we" is intended for a group who have duly elected the OP as their intended speaker, "we" is referring to any group the OP may be representing or speaking for themselves then the comment just speak for yourself is clearly asking the OP to speak. This would be the complete opposite of not allowing the OP to speak for a group or themselves. Perhaps Lotte was once a member of this group that has elected the OP as representative with Lotte voting no, obviously Lotte was outvoted. Sorry about your luck Lotte. Lotte may have some deep rooted anger towards the group because of this and is expressing his resentment in this post. The OP may have multiple personalities and is speaking for all of them, all at once. There are no specific details other than the OP would enjoy shooting a K98 Mauser and has asked for this addition to the game politely. I've drawn a couple of conclusions to a specific post in this thread, however I'll follow the OP's lead and maintain politeness. :)

Exactly... from a ballistic point of View you would gain nothing by adding 8x57 IS , it would be just another 30-06 where we already have the M1 and the Eckers chambered for.

A Mauser with Magnum Action for the 9,3 mm from the Drilling, that would be interesting... but not in the standard caliber..... a 8x57 would be in the middle of 7,62x54 and the 7,62x64 (30-06) ... it would do nothing what the existing rifles already can do.
But a magazine Rifle in 9,3 would be interesting, since its such a versatile load with 5-9 and has better ballistics then the 45-70

Also there are so many Fake Products which are silencers in Real... like "Lead Dust Collectors" or "Gun Oil Collectors for cleaing".... but in real they have all the expansion chambers needed to silence the Gun....
So its basically greyzone legal to mount them everywhere when you dare to do it ;)

What sort of ammo would it use? And want range of animal classes could it do?
There are too many rifles that are class 4 - 8. I'd like something that has a good class range.

Thats why a Mauser in 9,3mm would be nice that would be nice, the Ammo used by the Drilling. But a normal K98 would be rather useless, we already have Hirschfelden so there wont be any Germany DLC and as standalone Gun its useless....

Look in Hunter Classic how much nice guns they got there, when they would bring some to cotw would be nice....
