Emerald Coast Australia
Hey folks .... just wanted to say a HUGE thumbs up to the Aussie map. It is by far the most interesting, enjoyable map in the game I have played so far.

As an Aussie, can confirm it looks very much like our bush. Animals are great, croc hunting the mangroves is suitably nerve wracking ... but again, great work on the map.

One note though .... There are f**K all kangaroos on the map ... Kangaroos are EVERYWHERE in Australia. Literally everywhere. You need to add 100 times more kangaroos to make it really authentic haha.

Oh ... if I'm a real nit picky c**t ... we have RIGHT hand drive cars in Australia ;)

EDIT: Also wanted to say that you should def add Red Kangaroos. Those are the REAL big f**kers.

I think i agree. It might be my favorite map too. I like the camping trailer outposts there.

The .44 rifle from ambusher pack is awesome on that map with all the class 3-6 deers.

With a mod you can only increase the whole population, sadly not just Roos. But with over 4k animals Emerald is well populated compared to other maps.

Ohhh thanks for the gun tip. And yeah it's def super populated. Just kinda weird from an Aussie point of view at the lack of Kangaroos.

There are "only" 300 Kangaroos on Emerald. That's the average number for all the deers.

Sounds like you have Kanagroos like other countries have wild rabbits. ^^

The story from Emerald seems to be realistic, but they missed highlighting the Kangaroo plaque a bit, right?

@story When i played story, i thought, yeah some rich dudes tried to be smart and comfortable and imported animals for their fun. And a whole country has to live with the consequences.

For me as european, who has seen Kangaroos only in zoo, it would be confusing to see them everywhere.

Was there never the idea or a program to import predators to solve the kangaroos lack of natural enemies? Or maybe Aussies have enough bad examples what happens, if you import animal populations...

It's very very good, but the devs slightly missed the mark with regards to no emu or dingoes.... 2 of the most iconic animals in australia (next to the roo of course), and both are totally missing. Be awesome if they were included as a huntable species.
