Shotguns need some love

There are no reasons to ever play with other than 12g main game shotguns, with Miller being excluded. That shotgun is truely different.

But all the others, if Couso 1897 (cal 16g) or Strecker SXS/ Nordin (20g). These shotguns are just worse and wasted potential/ time and money.

Why not playing with some numbers?

F.e.
20ga Strecker and Nordin weapons could be restricted to
Birdshot (class 1),
Steel Birdshot (class 1-2) that would make these smaller caliber shotguns special
Buckshot (class 2-3)
Slug (class 3-6)

In return to the limited classes they can have less recoil and maybe 2.5 kg weight for Strecker with 2 shells and Nordin with 3 shells. Strecker with less recoil and better hip shot than Nordin to compensate Nordins one more round.

Birdshot (class 1),
Buckshot (class 2-4)
Slug (class 3-7) (it actually is 4-7)

It's the smaller ingame brother to the 12ga Cacciatore. Smaller caliber, less massive frame as 12ga Winchester, so it should weight less, what makes this shotgun 3 kg.
It should also get it's real capacity of 6 rounds for this 16ga version.
As additional compensation for Slug 4-7 less recoil and faster reload.
With a 3-7 Slug i wouldn't do anything other than the reduced weight and 6 rounds. It will have it's own spot with a more smaller game friendly class 3-7.

Also the ammo for 16ga/20ga should be less expensive then the next higher caliber. Maybe 10% from 12ga to 16ga and 20% 12ga to 20ga. Without birdshot, it already is cheap.

With such changes every shotgun caliber has it's own spot and advantages/ disadvantages.

Miller with 10ga is good as it is.

Sure, playing with weight isn't realistic. But many things in this game aren't realistic (f.e. 15 gramms callers at 0.5 kg ingame weight).
Weight is nothing else than a balancing tool.
