Cryptozoology doesn't belong in a hunting game.

:steamfacepalm: meh... on occasion it would certainly be amusing.

I'd prefer a T-Rex
Sure, why not?

Isla Nublar as a hunting preserve would be an absolute blast! :steamhappy:
The old sunstorm interactive hunting games like the og deer hunter and bird hunter wild wings had a bigfoot you could spot once in a while but couldn't kill it. It would be kinda cool on yukon or even silver ridge peaks for a halloween event that lasts like a week like how classic has werewolves on timbergold during halloween that you could shoot and have mounted in your lodge. For a permenant species get the mythical crap out of here
Guys, this is a hunting game. I want to hunt animals. I dont want to hunt folklore, monsters, oogaboogas or spirits.

There are plenty of games out there for killing all that stuff. Dont mess with the coolest hunting sim in the world by suggesting all this oogabooga, supernatural crap. This is hunting in 2020 AD, not 2020 BC.
Not sure what you mean. I find the current in game experience of hunting Bigfoot quite realistic. You go out in the woods and it doesn't exist. Just like in real life.

that or your screen goes to 8bit graphics when you see one, like all the supposed true sighting videos.

The most funny and accurate post along with McSqurl Nugget's post as well. LOL!

Let's stick to science and real zoology in this game. If you want fairies, monsters and whatever else, go play Warcraft.
There was a prehistoric hunting game where the hidden animal was a yeti. It had superhuman senses and could locate you at this games rendering distance. You would have to use a grade 9 shotgun for huge game if you wanted any hope to bring this thing down in The Hunter before it stomped your face in.
Even if some Utah-Raptors were coming for you, I think 6-shots from the Cacciatore shotgun or all 5 shots from the .454 revolver would take 1 or 2 down. This wouldn't be a hunting game though, it would just be "how to survive if you and your guns went back in time 65 million years".

not true, raptors had lightweight skeletons that made them very fragile. It would be similar to the durability of a turkey or antelope.

anyways a realistic dino hunting sim would be a welcome addition, as dinosaurs irl were not monsters as they are often portrayed.

I don't know about you but if I dont get a heart shot or a lung shot on a charging lion, it will take 3 or 4 shots to make it stop on the spot if it were determined to charge and kill me. You think one or two shots will stop a Utah-Raptor in time before it starts ripping you? LOL!

You might stop a diamond ostrich or a diamond emu with one or 2 slugs. I dont think you're going to stop a Utah-Raptor unless you have a really good shot.

EDIT: I'm not talking about the veloceraptor. I'm talking about the Utahraptor.

I doubt anything short of a full tube of slugs or a .300 is gonna stop a 450 kilogram utahraptor from eating you lol.
