XP System
I dont mind the money even though it is expensive. however the xp system is way crazy. I need level 35 for a moose caller. and I have been playing this game for almost a week straight everyday. I have 17k xp and im only at level 12. please lower the requirments and possibly lower the price of some ammo. thanks.

I mean, given that the starter ammo is free- it gives you a head start with medium range animals rather than heavier game like moose. I agree that the moose caller level requirement is slightly high, but being able to attract heavier game should still be a milestone.

But back to the ammo costs, once you start racking in groups of kills with a lever action rifle (Whitlock/Coachmate) or groups of heavy game kills, like bison (with something like the 7MM), ammo costs become pretty negligible. Even when hunting with friends in multiplayer recently where a lot of animals were commonly spooked, I made around 40-50k ish just hunting basic game.

In that case, mind your aim so you do not need the 2nd shot.
But if you are really tight on money than shooting everything with as expensive ammunition as possible is not the best way to go.
Culling few does, shooting some rabbits or geese can help. Depends on what DLC you have - 30-06 means at least one. Thus use that muzzleloader or airgun that came with it from time to time.

Your're welcome. After some time you will be in situation where ammo cost is not anymore such a issue. Some males of bigger animals give you between 1000 anf 1500 $$$. If the shot costs even 100 than for package of ten and good shooting you'll earn more than 1000, maybe 1200 on average. But in earlier stages, every $ counts - I was at that era, thinking whether to buy scope, rifle, pistol, shotgun or that lure for animal I like to hunt.

Do not forget to do the missions - XP+money. And also checkt your DLC - i.e. Parque Fernando gives you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (equals free weapon) for .44 Revolver and .338 Rifle. Maybe you need XP to unlock the base ones to get them but these weapons themselves are free.

Than start Google because for it you have to search for shooting places all over the reserve and they are pretty hard to find (you may walk over some and you wont see them). .243 rifle, free ammunition and x16 scope helps a lot because some shots are really long range. Go to Hirsch reserve to the range and make yourself a notes where are impact points of the bullet over long shots up to 400 meters
