semi-auto and airgun hunting rifles
as you guys already added a .22LR semi-auto in the weapons pack #1, would it be possible to add an AR15 based hunting rifle? i'd also love to see an airgun based hunting rifle to take out ducks/rabbits and birds

AR-15. Personally Im still as much against the addition of any "assault weapons" myself as I've always been. Not just because of my stance on these not belonging in hunting but also because they would make it far too easy (and tempting) to just... "spray and pray".

Air weapons. Is that even legal anywhere? I know up here in Scandinavia the lowest legal caliber for rifle hunting is .22, especially on hares/rabbits.

For the AR-15 i would have assumed to use specifically modified guns for hunting for example a magazine with a maximum size of 10 or 20 bullets, only semi-auto and also only equipped with high mag scopes, no red dot or iron sights.

And to be honest i don't know if airguns are illegal for hunting, they just came to my mind because i saw someone using an air rifle to hunt down squirrels and birds on YouTube once. Would make a nice addition instead of suppressors to be attached on rifles as i heard that suppressors are illegal to be used in hunting in many countries. Also, a magazine fed crossbow would be nice too if they don't look into improving the current DLC one (just bought weapons pack 1 yesterday and i do like the crossbow but it feels pretty quirky as in not really being fluid for my taste, the weird 5 bolt magazine displayed in the hud and the dull reloading which could use some better quality animations)

Air guns range in caliber and power to be able to take game from squirrels to bison.
AR-15 is NOT an "Assault Rifle"! Assault is an action and the AR-15 is incapable of actions without a human operator!

Honestly here, anything above 6 rounds in the mag in a semi is way too much for my taste. If you cant hit with those, you probably wouldnt hit with 20 either. So yeah. Call me old fashioned, but I still dont believe that stuff like this belongs in hunting at all, as mentioned, not civilian hands

It's all about the 2nd Amendment as far as the AR or any weapon goes honestly. 2A is America's teeth and not necessarily against foreign enemies so we have a right to be as well armed as those we might one day have to face no different then our forefathers!

But off topic so will let it go at that!

The addition of an AR-15 or an AR-10 would be pretty fun in game, considering me and my friends have found multiple sizable groups of wild boar and theres quiet a lot of targets to hit in a short period of time. Besides, whining and crying about the evolution of technology is just dumb.

i dont see the need for balancing in a game like this, why not give people the choice to use whatever tool they want?

i'd really like to have all kinds of weapons added to the game and wouldnt mind some modern semi auto rifles. especially from sig sauer please :P

Thats what Im thinking we should avoid in general here, the "temptation" to just go full hog with the rifle without actually thinking too much about shot placement.

Overall on the last part I just feel that regular rifles offer quite a lot more in terms of skill without stretching the rules of fair chase to the breaking point.

Same there, especially on the latter seeing as its pretty much THE moose caliber in northern countries.

I also like to see all kind of weapon and gear in the game. And than rules for the hunt, so you can use it but get sometimes no money or point's.
I also like to see an custom weapon shop were we can do our own weapon , sight's an calibers.

Honestly more diversity in the types of weapons would be nice. Some old rifle caliber guns from the World Wars would really be nice. If they add anything on the AR platform they can just limit it to 10 round magazines like some states do over here in the United States for hunting.

A wild idea came up to me. I know this is a hunting game but what if we could add non-lethal ways of hitting animals and still scoring up? Imagine bringing a paint-gun to the field, animals covered in rainbow polka dots! :D

Most ARs are already semi auto. Though you could do faster follow up shots if you missed there is still recoil to consider. So you would still need to reacquire your target. There are already 5 round magazines for the AR and most semi auto hunting rifles since many jurisdictions have a 5 round capacity limit for hunting. There are a great many semi auto hunting rifles out there besides using an AR. Most of the major manufacturers produce at least one even if the bulk of their lineup consists of bolt action rifles.
