Look down, see legs
Its not a big issue since in other games we cannot see our own legs. But I do hope this function can be added in the game.
It is quite weird to see nothing down, just like a ghost floating around, and even weirder when footprints appear directly on the ground, and weirdest when standing in the water.
The game is realistic on the whole, until you look down.

Also weird not to have a shadow. Everything else in the game has shadows. Deer, trees, buildings, birds flying overhead ... just not you the hunter. No reflection either. You are like a vampire.

Shadows and reflections are usually resource hogs so I would imagine they were left out of CoTW player models (and other games) to improve performance. Same with the legs.

Vampires do not have shadows in the Buffy universe. And frankly if its not Buffy, I'm not interested in your vampires.

The function does consumes resource but I dont think it will be a resource hog. Think of TPS like GTA, you can see the whole body and shadow of our main charactor.
I think the main reason is adding legs require much work, you need to design the movement of them, and its interaction with environment makes it harder
