Remove level cap at level 60!
Dear developers!
Please do remove the stupid level cap.

The actual system is not very smart implemented. If there would be a geometric progression in the XP it needs to reach the next level:

1. It still could be hard enough to get every skill so that only the total hardcore hunter may earn this in a distant future.

2. The not very elegant "solution" to make it harder to get skill points between level 40 and 60 could be completely removed.

3. It would need the same XP for the first level up and for the highest level 60 or better to say level 50 after the change.

4. To implement this only the skill points for all the hunters have to be reseted, who haven't reached level 60 yet, because although they don't loose XP, they won't have the same level before and after the change.

5. I would be playing again and maybe buy another DLC from time to time.

It only needs some mathematics. The XP for what is then level 50 would be what is now the max XP in Level 60. The XP for the first level up are known too. The rest fits into a formula for geometric progression and this progression must not stop at level 50, 60 or 100.

Y do I write this? Because I am personally total annoyed to not even get more XP's. Also its not the kind of game where 'farming XP' is that important, it feels I am getting betrayed, which kills the fun for me and no fun - no game.

And to all the other hunters which feel the same, please let everyone know!

Hi! Thanks for your feedback, we know that an increased level cap would be appreciated by the community, especially for those who have already reached max level. It's currently not a work in progress, but it's something that we might look into in the future. Please let us know if you have any other questions :)

Level up 60+ ???
Good evening, you would know if the level 60 is going to be brought up to 70 or 80 after the release of the DLC ?

I hope so!

It wouldnt really make sense for the level cap to stay 60. The new reserve has missions just like the other two do and from missions you get exp and cash. However most max level players already have pretty much everything in the game so the cash dont really do much for them and obviously if the cap is still 60 the exp does nothing making the missions basically useless from a value standpoint.

Yes indeed, I agree with you @Vedi, but I did not hear developers to speak about it even having asked them the question yesterday on TwitchTv during the release of the DLC :/ .
Thank you for your answer ;)

I asked on an earlier Twitch stream, and got no response either.

i do assume the intention of the devs is to let the player NOT become a supercalifragilisticexpialigoric super-hunter..

And of course this makes a some sense as in the game the difficulty level is upside down. First its hard as hell and the more skills and guns you get the easier it becomes.

The only challenge later in the game is to go for Diamonds but they are to rare to be a sufficient goal and if you find a possible animal the risk screwing it by a bad shot is terrible high and too much things to consider about the stats.. even if i am a big fan of the harvest count as it forces you to harvest all animals even the mishitted..

And last but not least the game misses a global statistic to compare to other players to force ambitionated people to approve their skills not only high scores but also expertly behavior.
But the game stops not only to give more skills and perks it also stops showing you your experience level.. you simply get any points ansmore except for guns...

all a little strange to me and have been discussed several times but all in all with no reaction of the deve team..

I'm doubtful of a level cap raise in the new DLC, mainly because I feel if it really is a feature being added, they'd surely mention it on the Steam page and elsewhere, but they've said nothing about that, so I don't think it's coming just yet. Pretty sure they'd be telling us if it was, since so many want it.

They could make rarer versions of the weapons and items (only changing aesthetics), that cost something crazy to purchase like 500,000-1,000,000 each. I wouldn't mind an ornate version of the whitlock for example. This would give something to do with all that extra money and something to aim for after getting everything. The ornate versions of the weapons would show how much experience and prestige the hunter has aquired in their career.

Or, they could introduce more weapons, like a crossbow!
Plus increasing the level cap would enable players to get even more skills and perks (maybe every 5 levels). Surely this would be realistic because the more you hunt the better you get??
As it is for me I've restarted again (backing up my old level 60 save) and I'm at level 43 on my second play through!

I did the same.. now i got a second lvl 60 char, but my stats are crippled... all the diamonds i caught before are not mentioned in the stats, thats a little sad.

I agree with all which was said here, the arguments are very objective but a level 60 +, for me, would be an objective to continue the adventure, another weapon rare as it is said, or very expensively would be welcome also. The purpose being to take forward us on something and what it is not linear ..... Let us avoid the dullness :)

For me I like getting something extra for the missions and such: So if no uncap of level and additional chance to get more perks and skill points I don't think i will be buying the new dlc:

this thread shows quite a few ppl cannot handle an open hunting game where there is no goal, but just the hunting.

In a way yes. The thing is though, this is not what the game has been going for so far. The missions play a big role, you have leveling and ingame cash. There are no leaderboards, no truRack system no nothing. So Just going around hunting in CotW can get boring quite fast. In theHunter Classic you can go around and just hunt because there are features that make it interesting like the truRack system and the hunting lodges. CotW has none of this so other than trying to come across a diamond rated animal, there is really not much else.

It is nNOT just the hunting, the missions, the rewards. Are you a gamer? i think not. Reconsider
