Stopping to dig in my inventory to switch arrows when an animal is 40 meters away isn't realistic either. If we wanted realism, we'd all be out hunting in real life. This is just for convenience and quality of life in the virtual world.
Why not instead just allow us to change the ammo used by holding R, just like with the Drilling Rifle? And to make things fair, run through the reloading animation, so we can't just change ammo on the fly.
Why wouldn't it be realistic? My hip quiver has 4 tubes, I use those tubes to separate different arrows (weights, tips, flights). Don't see why that would be in issue with the game.
When I shoot I carry different ammo for the same rifle. I often switch up between match rounds and tennex rounds depending on the conditions. Why not be able to quickly switch between soft point and poly?
Agreed. Though a mag switch should be required *on rifles*. I have found it unrealistic that one is not required when switching through the inventory. having the ability to change your zero's would be nice as well but that is a different topic. "match rounds and tennex rounds" tennex is freking expensive. what are you using in competition?
Edit: yep I'm an idiot. just remembered "match" is one of eley's offerings.
poly and soft could easily be kept in different mags for those weapons that use them.
single shot makes no difference, pop the round out put the new in.
Speed loaders for the revolvers would be sweet! and make sense for swapping ammo types. I carry speed loaders on my revolver belt, 2 .38 special and 2 .357. Kinda fun to hand someone the .357's when they're not as familiar with the gun and are expecting the .38 specials.
