Grizzly Bear
How about Grizzly Bears? How about a Grizzly that stalks you? Not just a circle where they come back to the same point. Not everywhere but 1 bear on the map. Watching you. A storyline. Killed some hikers. Has a taste for blood. Not easy to kill.

a little gruesome but many bears, especially Grizzlies, will circle back and wait downwind of their trail to ambush hunters. Would really add to this game for sure. I bow hunt primarily in this game and carry the Rhino .454 as my bear gun. Right now I leave the scope on since bears are non-issues in this game. I have yet to be attacked and have yet to need more than one shot to kill them. If they were to attack like bears will do in real life that scope would only go on when I saw the bear first. I am guessing the fact that Grizzlies are more the other side of the mountains or north of the Pacific Northwest is the reason for them not being in this game. What would be great is a Yukon/Alaska area for this game. Everything is bigger, meaner.

I like the idea, and it could be future DLC. I would also love to see duck hunting.

Absolutely +1,
I also think they will release Grizzlies together with a new map located in the Rockies or in Alaska/ Yukon.
They are not in the game at the moment because LLD is located in the Pacific Northwest of the US and there it has unfortunately no Grizzlies :(
But as I said, they will release a Rocky Mountain-map or a Alaska-map and there it will has Grizzlies, be sure... ;D

What makes you so sure? What do you base that on? Sincerely wondering.

It would be very surprising, if they would not release a reserve which is located in Alaska or the Rockies, because these are THE hunting regions, where u can find all what u want in North America ;)
I have no source, but if u look at theHunter classic, there are also similar maps in the actual theHunter COTW (Actual Maps in COTW: Hirschfelden = Classics Hirschfelden, LLD = Mixture from Whiteheart Island, Loggers Point, Settlers Creek and Redfeather Falls)
And I predict they will release some actual maps from theHunter classic in a similar way in theHunter COTW (e.g. Alaska = Whiterime Ridge, Rockies = Timbergold Trails)
Just some thoughts... :D

Well you got your wish granted. They killed some hikers in the story at yukon valley
The Grizzly though needs a little lesson from the wolves as the Grizzly is too much of a teddy bear. Either runs away or just sit there in the forest with the occasion walk around. No real challenge to hunting them.

Was attacked 3 times this mourning in Yukon, first time since release.

I think nearly everything is possible, but all depends on what you do and how you move on Yukon.

the grizzly damage is too low, a grizzly charge only takes ~10% of your hp bar.

its not a threat at all to hunt them. I was expecting them to be almost on par with lion

I would say, that it is 20%.
Five Grizzlys and I would be dead.

Most of the time they do not really attack you, they only do it one time and escape to the direction, they are running anyway... if they are able to, resp. do not die before they try to go on running.
