The color of male lions mane.

Mythical and legendary male lions, should be simulated with darker mane instead of the blond mane. This is due to a higher levels of testosterone.

Agreed. I think the manes in general need some work; imo they look rather bland and tacked on (though the lion bodies are great). And hopefully the Level 1 males will have just some scruff. For inspiration, see the lions in Assassin's Creed: Origins.

Indeed, the models of lions are good in general, but something is wrong with the mane. It's look too fluffy or voluminous..? It's like every lion's mane has been blow-dried.:)
Change mane with a level, it would be nice to see, because they look too alike.

And Yes, either I don't know how big The African lions are, or you have a Panthera leo spelaea here.:)

The manes indeed look too fluffy. Not sure if it's just me but when they're dead they seem to look less fluffy. And there should be difference between lvl 6 and 9 for example in color.
